i've been told by admin to refund a customer via money order as there has been complications with the buyer - but i was also told to take out the fees that it costs from the money order from the total amount. can someone tell me how much a money order costs.

I also need a tracking device on the money order that is returned, so i can pass on the number to admin. Does express post come with a tracking number? or should i use registered? if there is a difference - please tell me. Also can any one tell me how much a express envelope or an envelope thats registered will cost.

this is for a total refund of $10.80 - lol it is very laughable that this buyer wont just forward there bank details.
all help appreciated

It would be cheaper to send it back via reg letter as the express one is 4.70 from memory

Australia Post Money Orders now offer more choice. Money Orders can now be purchased for any value up to $5,000. Plus, there’s now a tiered fee structure:

    VALUE FEE
Money Orders up to $1,000 $4.50
Money Orders over $1,000 to $5,000
     (requires customer ID)
    $6.00

Sending it Registered would be best as it requires a signature on the other end, looks like the buyer will end up with just a couple of dollars .

Registered Letter post will be quick as well .

to get the tracking number you need registered, for a small prepaid envelope including registered it is $3.30 for a large $4.40. with a money order $4.50.. dont they realise they would get it ALL back from bank deposit or don't they know the costs will be taken out

I had one send cash through the mail after NPB had been and done wanted to refund via bank but said had no account to use and wanted me to send the cash back via mail.

I  asked advice from admin and they said should refund them the same way they paid. or MO less fees she got a MO for 95 cents
