Temando Freight Account


What is a Temando Freight Account?

quicksales and Temando have joined forces to give you access to a range of freight carriers and the following benefits:

Once you have created a Temando account you will be able to select carriers that suit your needs and set up delivery defaults for your listings. Your listings will display the cheapest delivery price, and users will have the ability to compare delivery services/prices. Buyers can select their preferred delivery option when they Checkout (for single items only). If a buyer buys multiple items you can get a new delivery quote from our system and send the buyer an invoice. Once you have received payment you can book the freight and have it picked up and delivered!

The best part of having a quicksales/Temando freight account is that it can offer you unbeatable prices for tracked door-to-door deliveries that are passed on to your buyers, and you do NOT need to have accounts with multiple freight carriers and couriers which normally require a minimum spend/volume.

Pay as you use - simply pay by credit or debit card each time you make a booking.


Your Account and Preferences

You need to create a Temando account. If you haven't already created one, please go to My quicksales > My Selling > Freight Account. Once an account has been created, you will be able to view your account details and preferences. You can set up a default pickup address, package defaults and manage your carriers list.

Create / Edit Listings to Include Temando

Select 'Temando - works out best delivery cost' as a postage method when you list or edit a listing on quicksales. You will also need to provide the dimensions and weight of the package.

What Buyers See

Your listings will automatically calculate the delivery amount based on the buyer's address. The cheapest delivery option will be displayed by default, but the buyer has the option of viewing more options (see example below).

Multiple Item Purchases

When a buyer purchases multiple items from you, they are not able to select a preferred delivery option when they Checkout, instead, they will need to wait for you to recalculate the delivery cost and send them an invoice. This allows you to combine the items into a new package (if required), recalculate the delivery cost and send the buyer an invoice with the correct delivery amount. The system also allows for multiple packages to be sent in one booking (Item 1 of 2, Item 2 of 2 etc).

Making a Booking

After you have received payment you can make a booking to have the freight picked up and delivered. Go to your Sold Items list and select Freight Booking from the Action list.

  1. Confirm or edit the pickup address, delivery address, items and package, ready date, and insurance (if applicable)
  2. Select the carrier
  3. Pay by credit or debit card
  4. Print the consignment note and attach the correct section/s to the parcel. Note: Depending on the carrier you may need to attach the complete consignment note or one or more sections, if you are unsure which section/s to attach please ask the driver when he/she comes to pick up.

That's it!

Pickups

Drivers generally pickup in the afternoon on weekdays (between 12-5pm) for orders placed that morning. Orders placed in the afternoon may not be picked up until the following working day. Please ensure someone is there.

Payment

During the booking process you will be asked to provide your credit or debit card information. Your card information is securely sent to Temando to be processed, quicksales does not charge or store this card information.

Tracking

Both the buyer and seller can track the item from My quicksales. Go to your Sold Items list and select Track Freight Status from the Action list.
