Express Lister Instructions
Express Lister Instructions
- Download and install the latest version of Express Lister following the instructions
here.
- Open Express Lister from the shortcut on your Desktop or Start Menu.
- You will be prompted to enter your quicksales username and password (you need to be
connected to the internet the first time you do this so that we can verify your
details). Note: You can change your Express Lister password later from Tools
> Change Password.
- Express Lister may download an update, please wait for any updates to finish.
You can create a new item in a number of ways:
- Select File > New Item from
the Menu Bar, or
- Click the New button on the toolbar, or
- Select Action > New Item
from the Action drop down list
- Select a category:-
Click the Select button next to the category. Once the category
options appear, you will need to click on the + sign in order to
expand the category further so as to reveal all sub-categories. Select a category,
you have the option to Save this category for future use.
- Enter item details:-
- If the item is new, check the Brand New checkbox.
- Enter a Title and Sub Title.
- Selling Format - You can list your item as Auction Only, Auction with BuyNow or
BuyNow only. More info
- Auction Only - Enter a Start Price and Bid Increment
only
- Auction with BuyNow - Enter a Start Price, Bid Increment
and BuyNow Price
- BuyNow Only - Enter a BuyNow Price only
- Enter the Quantity available and choose a Duration.

- Enter postage details:-
Select which Post To Locations you are willing to post the item
to and choose a Postage & Handling method and fill in required
fields. You can also enter additional Postage Instructions.

- Enter payment methods:-
Select which Payment Methods you will accept. You can also enter
additional Payment Instructions.

- Select Next. Note: You can only use the Load Template button after
creating an item and saving it as a template.
- Enter a description:-
You can create or paste in a description using text or HTML.
- Enter or copy plain text or HTML directly into the description box below the Description
Builder button, or
- Click the Description Builder button to design a description using
common editing commands, or
- Open the description builder and click the View HTML button on the description builder
toolbar.
- To close the description builder and save your description, close the window
(x). You may then save the changes, when prompted.
- Promotional and Additional features:-
Select any Promotional and or Additional Features you wish to use.
- Add images:-
You can upload pictures from your computer or link to pictures that are already
online.
- Click on of the White boxes 'Click here to insert picture' to upload a picture from
your computer, or
- Enter a URL of a picture already online and click Load.
- Saving your new item:-
- Click the Save this item as a Template button to save the item
as a template for later use.
- Click the OK & New Item button to save the item and create
a new item.
- Click the Finish button to save the item and return to the inventory
list view.

- Select items in the inventory list you wish to upload (Click any part of the item.
To select multiple, use Ctrl or Shift)
- Click the Add To Upload List button above the inventory list and
then click Yes to open the Upload List.
- Once in the Upload list click the Upload button and upload
All Items or Selected Items.
- Right-click on My Items (below Item Explorer) and select New Folder
to create a new folder.
- You can also create a Sub-Folders by right-clicking in a folder and selecting New
Folder.
- Select an item to be edited, then click Action > Edit or right-click
on an item and select Edit. The Edit Item page will appear. Once
you have finished editing, select Finish.
- To edit multiple items, select multiple items and then click Action >
Bulk Edit.
Duplicating an Item
- Select an item you wish to duplicate, then click Action > Duplicate Item(s),
or right-click on an item and select Duplicate Item(s).
- Enter the quantity of duplicates you require and press OK.
- A maximum of 10 duplicated items may be created.
- Select an item to be cut, then click Action > Cut, or right-click
on an item and select Cut.
- Choose where you want to paste the item by selecting a folder, then click
Action > Paste, or right-click on a folder and select Paste.
- You can also drag and drop items into other folders.
- Once you have selected the item you need to delete, click Action > Delete,
or right-click on the item and select Delete.
- Press Yes when prompted: Are you sure you want to send
these items to Recycle Bin?
- Once you have selected the item you need to preview, click Preview,
or right-click on the item and select Preview.
- Select the preferred browser: Preview > Internet Explorer
or Preview > Firefox.
- Once you have added the item(s) to the Upload List, click Calculate Fees
> Selected Items or Calculate Fees
> All Items to view the applicable fees.
- Select the OK button when finished viewing your fees.
- Open your Items to Upload list and select the items you wish to schedule a start
time for.
- Click Schedule Start Time and choose Start At Scheduled
Time
- Choose the date and time you wish the items to start.
- Select Apply to all items if applicable.
- Select the OK button when finished.
- In Express Lister select File > Change Login.
- Select the username from the drop down list or enter a new username.
- Enter your password and press OK.
Step 1
- Open Express Lister 1.xx and select Options > Export saved items
from the menu bar.
- Save the file to a location on your computer.
Step 2
- In Express Lister 2 select Tools > Import Items > from quicksales >
Express Lister ver. 1.xx from the menu bar.
- Follow the instructions to select and import the file you saved in step 1.
Note: you may need to update the category or other information
before uploading. You can update multiple items at the same time by selecting multiple
items and then choose Bulk Edit from the Action list.
- Selling Items - Click Tools > Import Items > from quicksales
Online Listings > Selling Items
- Sold Items -Click Tools > Import Items > from quicksales
Online Listings > Sold Items
- Unsold Items - Click Tools > Import Items > from quicksales
Online Listings > Unsold Items
- By ItemID - Click Tools > Import Items > from quicksales
Online Listings > By ItemID
- Wait for the list to be populated, select the item(s) you wish to import then press
Download.
- Click Tools > vShop Manager to open the vShop Manager.
- Click 'All' (the top level vShop Category) to see items in Express Lister that have
not been assigned to a category in your vShop.
- Drag items into the appropriate vShop category.
- When finished, click OK.
You can also create new vShop categories from within the vShop Manager, click
Category > New to create a new vShop category.
At the bottom of the inventory list you will see an information bar that includes
some useful information relating to your Items.
- Ready to upload - Your items will appear in white, when they are
ready to be uploaded.
- Category selection and other data required - Your items will appear
in yellow, when they have not been categorised or completed in full.
- Need to change category - Your items will appear in blue, when
the category needs to be changed.
