Temando Delivery Insurance

When sending items via Temando, you can take out optional Goods In Transit insurance.

Temando Insurance is available with ALL Temando carriers on quicksales and costs 1.1% of the total price (purchase price + delivery cost). For example, if the total cost is $20.00, the insurance would be $0.22.

Temando deliveries with insurance give you the following:

  • Door-to-Door service
  • Tracking
  • Fragile service
  • Insurance cover up to the total price

Although every care is taken by the transport company whilst transporting and storing the item, it may still become lost or damaged. When this happens, without insurance you will not be able to be compensated. This insurance assists to fill this gap.

For your convenience, Temando provides optional Goods In Transit insurance from Chartis for a nominal fee of 1.1% of the total price (purchase price + delivery cost) (inclusive of GST). For terms and conditions, please review the Product Disclosure Statement and wording.

Australia Post - Registered Post

When sending items via Australia Post, you can insure items for loss or damage up to $5,000 (only available within Australia).

Registered Post gives you the following, and the cost is $3.05:

  • Proof that the item was sent (when lodged at the post office counter)
  • Proof that the item was received - a signature is obtained on delivery
  • Compensation for loss or damage of the item up to $100 for a standard registered delivery

Optional services (additional fees apply)

  • Delivery information for an additional $2.00 - a card is returned to you with the recipient's signature
  • Person-to-person delivery for an additional $5.70 (conditions apply) - your item will be delivered to the addressee (only available within Australia)
  • Extra Cover up to $5,000 (only available within Australia) - $1.45 per $100, or part thereof, in excess of $100 and up to $5,000

How to offer insurance on your listings:

Go to My quicksales > Selling > Selling Preferences, and tick the 'I will insure the delivery if requested' box under My Default Postage/Delivery Details.

Buyers will then be able to request and pay for insurance when they Checkout.
