After the Auction Ends
After the Auction Ends
quicksales will send out an email to both the buyer and seller when an item ends successfully.
You will be provided with the sellers email address and a link to Proceed to Checkout.
The seller will be sent your suburb, state, postcode and email address so they can
work out the Total Due and send you an invoice. Click on the link to Proceed to
Checkout or send an email to the seller if you want to provide further information.
For example: Your full address, insurance required, payment method etc.
Contact the seller and provide your details either by the Checkout or email. Good
communication is important. Make sure you keep all email communications between
you and the seller. We recommend that you use the quicksales Checkout procedure (see
the Checkout section below).
To contact a seller please go to My quicksales > My Buying
and click on your 'Won
Items'. Select 'Contact Seller' from the 'Action' link.
To streamline the process, quicksales provides a Checkout for buyers to view payment
details and confirm their postage address to the seller. Using the Checkout is not
compulsory but it is highly recommended. For more info about the Checkout, please
Most sellers will state which payment methods they accept, payment instructions
and other relevant payment details within the listing. You can notify the seller
which method of payment you will use by selecting the payment method in the Checkout
or emailing the seller. Note: Retain your payment/deposit receipt as proof of payment.
Learn about all payment
methods
We recommend using PayPal or Paymate when paying for items. Ask the seller if they
will accept PayPal or Paymate.
Please be sure to read the 'Advice
for buyers' topic for your safety. It's normal practice to make payment
within 3 days, the seller may file a dispute against you if you fail to make payment.
If for some reason you are not able to pay within the allowed period, make sure
you contact the seller and explain the reason.
Once the seller receives the payment, wait to receive the item.
You can contact the seller at any point and ask a question.
Leave a 'Rating'
for the seller to provide members with an indication to how well the transaction
went.
If for some reason you no longer want to purchase the item you won, please
contact the seller immediately. Most sellers will understand that mistakes can happen
and should be willing to cancel the sale by mutual agreement. However, if the seller
does not want to cancel the sale, they may report the item as Unpaid and leave you
an unsatisfied rating.
If you no longer want to purchase the item because you can't contact or verify the
seller or think the seller is suspicious, please let us know.
If you are the underbidder, you may still have a chance to purchase the item if
the seller sends you an 'Underbidder Offer'. If you accept the offer, you will be
able to purchase the item at a BuyNow price equal to your maximum bid amount. Learn more
