Delivery Costs Related
Q: By offering Temando in my listings will the
delivery cost be cheaper than Australia Post?
A: Every service offered through Temando on quicksales is a door-to-door,
express courier service with tracking which is the equivalent of Express Post Platinum.
You'll notice from the pricing that it is cheaper than any trackable postage option
available from the Post Office, such as Express Post.
Q: Are Temando rates cheaper on Temando or quicksales?
A: If you create a Temando account via quicksales you will receive
a 10% discount for the life of your account.

Service Related
Q: Can I select carriers I want to use?
A: Yes, you can use all or select the ones you want to use. You
can modify this list in the Default
pick up location screen. Important Note: Fastway only pick
up from businesses (inc home businesses); however you could always give your package
to your partner/friends/etc to take to a work address. If you want Fastway included
in your listings you will need to select Business as your
Default pick up location. Also note, that Fastway only service
major cities and will be only be returned in quotes for deliveries they can service.
Q: Are all services door-to-door?
A: Yes.
Q: Are all items tracked?
A: Yes.
Q: If all items are tracked, does that mean that
buyers will need to be home?
A: No, if they are not home a card will be left to arrange another
time for delivery.
Q: What is the difference between signed and unsigned?
A: Small unsigned packages will be left in the letterbox, similar
to what happens with Australia Post.
Q: Do you offer a fragile service (Australia Post
does not)?
A: Yes, fragile handling is included.
Q: What happens if an item is damaged or lost?
A: Currently, this is subject to each carrier's terms and conditions,
however please read the next answer about insurance.
Q: Can I pay extra to insure an item for damage or
loss?
A: Insurance is available to quicksales sellers for a cost of 1.1%
of the total price (purchase price + delivery cost).

Q: Do I need a satchel bag?
A: Depends on the carrier, see below:
- Australian Air Express (AaE) - Satchels are not required, you can
use your own packaging. AeE rates factor in the cubic weight or the dead weight,
whatever is the greater (hence no satchels required). For example, if the dead weight
is under 500g, but the dimensions cube out to over 500g (based on AaE’s specifications)
then the 1Kg satchel rate will apply.
- Fastway - Satchels are required. Fastway only pick up from businesses
(inc home businesses); however you could always give your package to your partner/friends/etc
to take to a work address. Also note, that Fastway only service major cities.

Free satchel bags - Satchel bags are provided FREE of charge, request
your first batch from the Default pick
up location screen (please allow 10 working days for them to arrive). Additional
bags can be ordered directly from Temando, just email .
Note only AaE allow you to use your own packaging with satchel rates.
Q: What sizes do satchels come in?

Pickup Related
Q: Do I need a satchel?
A: Please see the Service Related section above.
Q: What time are pickups?
A: Drivers generally pickup in the afternoon on weekdays (between
12-5pm) for orders placed that morning. Orders placed in the afternoon may not be
picked up until the following working day.
Q: Can I get the package picked up from somewhere
else (my work / my partner's work / a neighbour)?
A: Yes, just specify this address as your pickup address in quicksales.
Q: What should I do if no one came to pickup?
A: Missed pick-ups usually will occur the next business day, although
this is not common. If after 24hrs your pickup has still not occurred, please contact
either the Carrier or Temando.
Q: Will they pickup from my house/area?
A: Yes, with some very minor exceptions - see below. Note, we only
return carriers that can service the delivery in the quote.
Q: Remote area pickups
A: In some remote or low density regional areas, pickups from your
home may not be available for low-volume sellers. In this instance, you will be
contacted by the carrier to arrange a secure drop off point, generally the local
post office or carrier depot as applicable. It is not possible to advise this upfront,
as these transactions are assessed on a case by case basis, so if these drop-off
arrangements do not suit you, you may contact Temando for a full refund.
Buyer / Delivery Related
Q: Does the buyer need to be home?
A: Ideally, but it is not essential. The couriers can also be instructed
to leave a parcel somewhere safe (for example the buyer can leave a note for the
driver saying "please leave with neighbour - number 22").
Q: If the service requires a signature on delivery
and the buyer is not home, what happens?
A: A card will be left for the buyer to contact an arrange another
delivery time.
Q: Will the buyer be charged a re-delivery fee?
A: No.
Q: Can Temando deliver to P.O. Boxes?
A: Yes, but only when using Australia Air Express.
Q: Can the buyer track the delivery?
A: Yes, from within My quicksales.
Q: Can the buyer choose which service they prefer
(signature, overnight etc)?
A: Yes, the buyer can notify the seller of their preferred delivery
option when they checkout.
