Items that Need Attention

Notifications are sent to certain sellers when items become 60 days old, this is to help maintain an accurate list of available items on quicksales.

Who are they sent to and when?

They are sent to sellers that do not have a vShop. The system will send a an initial "Items that need attention" notification when items become 60 days old and further reminders at 75 and 90 days. This is to ensure your items are still available and to prompt you to let us know if they're still available for sale or not.

Can I prevent these notifications?

You can prevent notifications from being sent by letting us know in advance that your items are still for sale. This feature is available for items that have been listed for 55 days or more. See example with instructions below.

Example - Let's say you have 1 item that has been listed for 57 days.
  • Go to My quicksales » Summary, then to Selling Reminders.
  • Click on the link "I have 1 item/s that needs attention". This will take you to the "Needs attention (1)" page displaying the 1 item requiring your action.
  • There are 2 choices within the "Action" link: "Still for sale" and "End it Now".
  • The "Bulk Action" allows you to confirm multiple items "Still for sale".
  • Select the appropriate action for your item. If no action is taken, you will receive a notification at 60 days prompting you along.
Items listed - 60 days old
If you have not confirmed the current status of your item in your "Needs attention (1)" page, you will receive a first courtesy notification prompting you to action your item, as per the steps outlined above.

Items listed - 75 days old
If you have not confirmed the current status of your item in your "Needs attention (1)" page, you will receive a reminder prompting you to action your item.

Items listed - 90 days old
If you have not confirmed the current status of your item in your "Needs attention (1)" page, you will receive a final reminder prompting you to action your item. If after the final reminder we do not hear from you your items may be ended by our staff.

** At any point you can still take the steps to mark your item as "Still for sale" or "End it Now" **

Note: Once an item has been confirmed as still for sale, the notification process is reset for a further 60 days.
The notification system will come into effect on the 18th November 2011 (60 days after retiring our Auto-Relist Until Sold system - see announcement). Items that require attention will start to appear 5 days before this, on the 13th November.
