quicksales HTML and JavaScript Policy
THIS POLICY SETS OUT THE TERMS ON WHICH carsales.com Limited
ABN 91 074 444 018 ("quicksales") ALLOWS YOU TO USE HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language)
AND JAVASCRIPT IN LISTINGS ON THE quicksales WEBSITE ("Site").
- Overview
- For the protection of other users and the integrity of the Site quicksales requires
you to agree to and at all times comply with this HTML and JavaScript policy.
- Permitted uses
- quicksales permits you to use simple HTML and JavaScript to enhance the look of your
listings and pages, subject to the conditions set out in this Policy. HTML and Java
Script may be used only:
- in listing descriptions;
- in your About Me pages; and
- in designated areas within a vShop.
- Further to 2.1 above, you may use HTML and JavaScript to:
- insert borders and tables;
- change font types, sizes and colours;
- create lists;
- create colours; and
- attach or incorporate pictures and photographs.

- Prohibited uses
- You may not use HTML, JavaScript or any other scripting language in relation to
the Site to:
- change anything outside of your listing description, the About Me areas or designated
areas in vShop pages, whether such changes include changes of backgrounds, colours,
font, buttons, panels, headers or footers on the Site, or otherwise;
- insert an "iframe";
- call a remote script or page automatically;
- automatically re-direct a user to a site;
- automatically post data to the Site or to any remote location;
- create pop-ups that will automatically open;
- change registry entries;
- change anything on the computer hard drive of a third party;
- add, delete or modify browser cookies;
- with the exception of "Flash", run any dynamic scripts or programs; or
- do anything not expressly permitted in this Policy.
- Non-compliant HTML or JavaScript
- quicksales may delay publication of any HTML, JavaScript or any other scripting language
on the Site until such time as quicksales can determine whether it complies with this
Policy.
- If quicksales determines that any HTML, JavaScript or any other scripting language is
non-compliant with this Policy, it may remove it (whether before or after publication)
without any notice to you.
- This does not limit any other right or remedy available to quicksales in respect of
the non-compliance.
- Breach of this policy
- Without limiting any other remedy available to quicksales, a breach of the terms of
this policy may result in one or more of the following remedies:
- the issue of a warning;
- quicksales modifying or deleting any listing;
- removal of bids made on an item listed;
- forfeiture of fees that you have paid for a listing;
- suspension of your account;
- prohibit the reposting of the offending advertisement; and/or
- termination of your account.
- Disclaimer and limitation of liability
- To the extent permitted at law, quicksales will not be liable in respect of any loss
or damage that you may suffer as a result of quicksales taking any action referred to
in items 4 or 5 above.
