I don't send OS using bags, just pack up at home, and go to the PO and they stick the registered stuff on the bag and a customs note........just use the international parcel thing on AP......pick weight, country then pick the mail service and tick registered and it brings up the price, or send express..........I prefer to send express where possible........

Hi Sis

Didn't get to the PO , got 1/2 way there when confronted by a stray dog who's fur went up when she saw my dog so had to cut through a neighbours yard to go back home , stupid people that let their dogs roam

would it be this one ? Seems a lot as I thought the prepaid reg parcel was about $16 .

Isn't there an additional charge of $9 now for parcels over a certain weight?  Maybe that is the difference?

Hi Issabella10,

Prepaid padded bags International - for items under 2kgs in weight are:

USA  $26.35
UK  $ 22.35

The APO customer service person said those prices above are the same world wide to all major English speaking countries.

Any parcel over the 500 gram in weight to the USA is charged the $9.00 custom fee as OP said above.
As far as I know there are no Satchels for Registered Postage Internationally it's just a pre-paid padded bag for Registered International post.
I think there is Express and Platiumn Satchels which I think could be very expensive.
HTH
Cheers, Cassandra.

Edit: APO person said if sending to UK to track parcel to use this site as it's more stable >

Hi cecees ( just got your message ty)

that explains a lot . My PO was staffed by a friend of the owner for the last few days who had no idea so until now I've been none the wiser .
The parcel is to go to Germany , so that costing should be the one I can quote the buyer .

Hi Issabella10,

I think I would contact Australia Post before quoting as this AP guy did mention some European countries were different in policies, better to check and be sure. The number I rang 137678 try now they may still be there.
Good Luck!

Hi Issabella10,

Very hot night going to be 40c today :( I couldn't sleep, I was bored, I found this information here:

There are size and weight limits for international articles, which may depend on the destination country, or the service used.

Your an Angel cecees ! That's what I thought I had seen but couldn't find again on the AP website.

I've now taken a snaphot of it , never to be lost again lol.

I"ve also undercharged the buyer then , but that doesn't matter it was a good custom order .

Thanks again

Hello issabella10
aww gee thats a shame, I hope there isn't to much differece in your postage quote, you couldn't perhaps say you looked at the wrong price listing?
If there isn't THAT much difference then I agree, yes I would probably do the same :)
Glad I could be of help, I try.
Cheers, Cassandra
