wii help needed - any wii gurus out there?
I am hoping that someone can shed some light on a problem we are having at the moment with our wii system...
We are having trouble synchronising our remotes into our system and keeping them on there, the remotes go out and no function is possible till we sync them again.. tried these options listed in the manual.. new batteries in all remotes..
 tried resetting the the wii remotes by unpluging system and re connecting as per manual instructions but still no luck.. don't know what to do and try next.... any help would be appreciated.

Hi Liz,

Try the following if you like:

Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console, just below the disc drive, and press and hold the red SYNC button for about 15 seconds.

This will clear all synced Wii Remotes from the console.

Then unplug the AC adapter from the power and wait about 10 mins and plug it in again.

Open the front cover on your Wii, then push the red SYNC button there.

Then open the batteries cover on your Wii Remote and push the red button there.


By doing all this it may help refresh the whole sync memory system and fix the problem.

Thanks for your suggestions givemeachance, have tried that one, by the manual and still no luck... these bloody machines.. so damn touchy..
I think I will try ringing the help line today and seeing if they can offer any help.

i had the same problem when i purchased a battery pack from china. put normal batteries back in an it was fine

HI we had this problem when we had bought ours at easter. Take the battery cover off your remotes and open the little door at the front of the wii, press the red button on the remote it first leaving your finger on it, then press the red sync button on the wii and take your fingers off both red buttons and then wait 30 sec and then press the red button on the wii remote and if this works one light will light up on the bottom of the wii remote. Then follow through doing this with all the wii remotes as they will all need to be done.

This is how we had our remotes work for us, Then once all the remotes are done just press the off button on the wii and wait a minute to turn it back on.

Hope it works for you as it did for us!!!
