What size summer baby clothes to buy please
For an average size baby boy born in April and the clothes as a gift for Xmas. I have no idea of the size to buy. Any help appreciated.

Well he will be approximately 8 months old, and i would buy size 0 (which is for 6-12mths)

Hi, my last grandson was also born in April and I'm buying him size O clothes for Xmas, but I also have a couple of small size 1's as well.  Kids clothes are the same as adults - they can vary with the different brands.

I always bought a size bigger, otherwise they don't get much wear out of them.
They grow so quickly.

I agree, I found with my bubs the growth spurts were less frequent at size 1 (but every bubs is different.) I did get alot more wear from size 1 than size 0's

0-1 would be my call too! I would lean toward a Sz0 in anything VERY summer and a Sz1 for cooler Summer wear that can be used in Autumn.

I would purchase a size 0. Only purchase a size 1 if the baby is larger than the average.

Yep I'd go the size 0's as well, maybe a couple of smaller size 1's for later in the season, but if he is only average sized, 0's would be much better.  Maybe find out what size he is in now and go a size bigger - eg if he is in 00's now - go for the size 0's for christmas.

I'd agree with size 0 but you also need to take into consideration if he's a chunky fella now and if he's on the tall side... My daughter is tall but slim so depending on the clothes would depend if I went up a size or not. Err on the side of caution and buy the size up from what you think. For pants make sure they have an adjustable waist, they'll fit him for longer :0)
