What's the point of reporting
fake GBA games when nothing gets done about it?
I've reported several listings for obvious fakes, explaining why I think they are but the listings go through to the end and then relist!
A note at the bottom of the page says to only report once so as not to overload the system but they're still there....

You have to contact the manufacturer of the real items and they will contact Quicksales and then Admin will tell them to remove them, otherwise Admin have no way of knowing whether they really are fake or not as they can't see them.

The report button option

"fake/counterfeit"

should be removed as nothing gets done except a generic message similar to what Pisces mentioned . Therefore by rights the ability to report is false and misleading.

I've reported a seriously illegal item in the past and nothing got done until Crime Stoppers was made aware of it . So are you wasting you time ? Absolutely Yes.

You can only hope that buyers are savvy enough to stop and take a good look at auction listings and feedback before purchasing.

What do you mean "nothing gets done about it", gaiasdaughters? Are you suggesting that the copyright owner doesn't care that their protected items are being counterfeited?

I find that extremely difficult to believe.  So that I can be of further assistance... would you be so kind as to PM me with details of your original report to the copyright owner, and their subsequent response to your report?

Many thanks

For those that are interested... there are no fake items listed on this site at all (even the fake items become 100% authentic - once they are listed here)

Yep.

There are even endorsements for some products thereby implying the rest are probably legit too.

Really, one can only repeat.

Brand name places like Louis Vitton etc DO NOT sell their products online in Australian Auction Sites.

Nope, not on Ebay either.

Contact the manufacturer. Last time I did the seller's items were removed within a couple of days.

I dont understand why some of the listings are not removed. Fake items for $1 with $30 postage are no help to the site, its just fee avoidance, so if they cannot remove as not certain they are fake, they should be removed for fee avoidance.  JMO. Marian

When it comes to the "alleged" fake items being sold here... Admin allows these listings to appear on the site... because in accordance with the quicksales User Agreement... by listing them the seller warrants that they are not fake items.

However, when alerted to them the copyright owners will almost certainly confirm they are fakes... and take appropriate action to have the listings removed. The fact that Admin appears to take no action... and appears to allow the fake listings... does not by any means indicate that these listings are genuine, acceptable, permissable, or even legal. It just means that Admin is strictly enforcing their UA (to which every member has agreed).

If, however, a seller were to list a "Replica LV Handbag" (as an example)... it would be breaching the quicksales User Agreement... so Admin would remove the item fairly quickly... without the need to involve the copyright owner (once again, strictly enforcing the UA).

Sorry, Marian... I feel it is best if we do not address the issue of excessive postage here (PM me if you like).
