What's the best way to market my store?
Hi, I'm new to quicksales. I'm just looking at the best way to market my store.
I'm looking at the best way to create a sale. Having "0" feedback would this lessen my chance in creating a sale?

What do other store holders do?

Thank you, looking forward to your feedback.

Hi there - warm welcome to you !

Though I don't have a shop it is always good to try and build your feedback up as it can give credibility for potential customers. Also, they say using SPOTD works well for some. Make sure you have clear photographs and good descriptions...have as  many listings as possible and offer combined post to help save customers money......there'll be more ideas from other members I'm sure !

Good Luck

Tracey

If you have a vshop you can set up a sale from your vShop Manager link on the  Selling tab.

A sale costs you $1 for each 10% discount you offer and $1 for each day the sale runs, so a  20% off sale over 5 days will cost you a total of $7 to set up.  For the money, you get the following advantages.
  • Anyone who is watching one of your items, or who is included in your favourites list, or who has you on their favourites will get an email, letting them know about your sale.
  • Your sale will be randomly featured in the vShops sales promotions on the category pages, community page and front page. All your items that have BN prices will be automatically discounted by the amount of the sale and the original price shown crossed out, so buyers can see what they are saving.
  • Sale fees are only charged on the sale price, not the original price.
You can use your two SPOTD posts per day to further promote your sale.

0 feedback would make me think twice but it depends on what you are selling

ie cheap clothing= maybe worth the risk.

This time of year especially i personally like to see sellers with good feedback.

Also maybe become visable, currently you are grey so dont have a clickable user name, we cant see your items(personal choice though)

Agree with using SPOTD heres a link

Good luck and welcome :-)

Kiwi
-x-

*Also put measurments in your listings as no measurments makes alot of buyers hit the back button!

 Hi & welcome

100% agree with Kiwi - having a grey ID means I cannot even look @ your items- as you can see- we have a blue clickable- try out the members ID and you will be able to go from here to their feedback & then items !
this- IMO- is a must for a seller ( JMHO )
also- get your old buyers over here - email people you know and direct them to your items - and make sure you ask them to use your ID user NUMBER ( not name- but number ) this will give you referral credits and you can transfer them to your account
this changes soon but if you get $5 worth- you can transfer that :-)

Check wanted - check the forums and SPOTD - daily- but you will need to have a blue clickable - IMO- to take full advantage of the forums & sales from these
cheers & again- welcome to Q/S :-)

good luck & have fun :-)

I know that when I started it took a while to get my first sale. I use SPOTD and occasionally have a sale.

Wow!!, Thanks so much for all your responses. I really appreciate all your help in this situation. I'm trying to work out how to make myself visible so everyone can see what I'm selling. In the meantime my store name is create-fashion-com-au.
Quicksales have been great so far they help set up my account, and also assisted by moving stock across from other areas that I also sell from. So much easier then manually uploading everything.
Kiwi, thanks so much for the
SPOTD link I'll definitely give this a go, & everyone else who suggested this option.
Quickbuys, I have thought about buying stock to create feedback, I guess I'll give it awhile longer to see if I have any success in selling. However this would be my last resort though as I only plan to be a seller. I do have my business mobile on my listings I don’t know if this is a good idea or not. I just thought by contacting me it might give sellers reassurance that I'm a serious legitimate seller.
Stock that I'm selling is Ladies and Gents clothing, All About Eve, Bluejuice, Pure Hype, Silent Theory, Urbanology & Deacon.
I do have the sizes measurements on the listing just as a guide. I have received 100% positive feedback from other selling sites, everyone is happy with the items, & price they have paid.
Merry Christmas to you all, & thanks again...

Hi...

Just wanted to add one more thing.

Quicksales made an error setting up my account. They set up my store name originally as create-fashion-com-au, however its just been updated to create-fashion.

Just in case anyone is questioning  my store name.

Thanks again...
