Hi Dahl - sorry I don't know what the weather is like - but you could check the Bureau of Meteorology - I have a friend that was caught in a fierce storm up in Qld - sorry I don't know where Dalby is
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to put the link - so Moderators if it's not allowed - please delete it

Rain periods with possible local thunder. Moderate to heavy falls with moderate easterly winds until New Year's ....

Much the same as Chinchilla I suspect .....

Myall Ck & Charley's Ck should be much the same too ......

For the Bunyas, you can contact the Ranger on (07) 4668 3127  between 2 & 4 pm Qld time for the latest info.

I have family  on a farm just outside Dalby and they were flooded in again yesterday.  They have had heaps of rain in that area.
I have not spoken to them this morning but don't think things would have changed much over night.

Many Thanks for taking the time to answer and Yes we have been watching the reports - but that is nothing to first hand information.  We live 40 miles south of Chinchilla and the Condamine River cut the road last Wednesday morning.  The rain has set in now but over the last few days it was only slight showers - If it keeps raining in the Bunya Mountains it looks like it will be awhile before the road is open again.  The same thing for the Wondai / Chinchilla Road and most of the town area of Chinchilla already has sand bags around the business area due to Charlies Creek.
Hope you all are enjoying our wet Christmas   Dahl

the only thing that is guaranteed is that the Bunya Mountains will be COLD! We used to go there every year, will have to make the trek back again, most beautiful place!
