Vshop sales

Hello all,

Not sure if it's just me but I find the cost to have a sale expensive.

What do you think?

How much does it cost?
The cost to run a vShop Sale is $1 per day. In addition, each 5% discount will cost $0.50.

E.g. If you run a sale for 5 days with 20% discount, the fee would be $1x5 + $1x2 = $7.

It's a relatively small cost actually when you take into account that all your BN items are automatically discounted with the original price struck through and the discount price displayed for buyers to see the savings. Plus when an item sells, you only pay fees on the discounted sale price so you recoup a little of the cost with each sale (over the minimum 25c that is). Not only that but you get random exposure on the front page, the category page that matches your shop and on forum and search pages. Not to mention any buyer that has you in their favourites (and those you have as favourites) and all your visible watchers get a message to advise them of your sale.

Pretty good value really.

It is the old adage - sometimes you have to spend money to make money.

With a sale your watchers are also being notified, so you have a head start already.

If you consider the Sale fee to be extra advertising and exposure, it is not expensive at all.

How many sales does one need to recoup $ 7.00 ??
