Use the quicksales system!
Just a note for all the seller (and buyers). I send a question though the quicksales system about an item. Thought I never got an answer. I only go to my email that is attached to Quicksales about twice a week (as it is very quiet here at the moment). Noticed today that I did get an answer. Unfortunatly I bought through a different seller so this seller has missed out.

So my advise is, as we are dealing through quicksales, use quicksales when you answer or ask a question. That is what this site is for. I so wish that admin would change that people are not able to get your email address. We should get a choice to who will get it. But that is another issue again.

I totally agree dutchmiranda. In this age of protected privacy issues, we need to more vigilant about who gets our email address and other personal info. I realise that our email addies are skimmed by unscrupulous hackers but why make it easier for them and others..I don't have a problem with someone who has purchased from me, who may have a lengthy query, as it is easier through the private email addy,but to just ask a general question etc is just plain rude IMO

Miranda, I think we get the message both through our QS and also through our normal email, I will send you a message now so you can check. Or did you mean asking from the listing? Marian

We get through both only if we answer via Q/S
I must admit- via my ID- I am 100% guilty of that - replying via my email.

Sometimes I realise I have done this & answer again-
It also means - if a questions asked- the answer is in the listing too ( edit-- as question & answer )
Have noted that sometimes the same question is asked and then put those details in listings (edit) description :-)

but- I do agree and will make a better effort - in future :-)

PSS  -  tmbjewels  Have you  made a  suggestion to admin - via suggestion box ( bottom of every page )

I think it's up to every individual to be mindful of their privacy etc ... So why not create an email just for your QS transactions and communique?

That way you can keep it all separate and organized

qs business and communication should be done via qs , not only does it then keep it in one place anything that is communicated via your private email has no connection with qs should issues arise.

I have email accounts for qs and others , while with Hotmail you can link your accounts so you don't have to sign into every account it's a pain for others who don't do this hence I'm guilty of only checking some email accounts once a week or when I remember .

I often miss a qs message because the other party has used my private addy to reply after initial contact was made via qs , why not continue to use qs ?  If the only way to contact was via qs it would be a lot easier .

I use both - depending on the circumstances - often other information or pictures are needed to be attached - so I would just reply to the normal email.

If I can - I will use the quicksales box.

But if i do have to send other information - I don't usually wait to email the person through the quicksales box and ask for permission to use their private email address.   Especially since most are wanting fast returns on questions.

My mail downloads automatically every 30 minutes - so I don't plan on missing anything like a question or the sniff of a sale.  If it is not an outlook mail box - then the other systems usually have a notification system that I take full advantage of.

 Miranda I seldom click on the link in the email to answer questions about listings as both question and answer appear on the listing but I do not use a mjembers private email, I go to their profile and send a message that way.

We used to be ablle to choose whether the Q & A appeared on the listing but with the last few questions I have had that option has not been available.
