Tranfering EL listing from 1 computer to another
I have been using EL to store my listings on one computer.

I would now like to transfer the file across to another computer.

I don't want to download all the listings onto the new computer because all my photos would then have the quicksales watermark on them.

I have asked QS how to do it and they have directed me to install EL onto the new computer and copy the whole UserDat file from the old to the new.

Once I downloaded EL to the new computer it already had a UserDat file - do I override that, give it a different name so there aren't 2 UserDat files ... or?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried that ? It should work that way , don't change anything.

issabella, I tried that but got a folder tree that I haven't used for a couple of years and no listings, even though about 50,000 files came across. I will remove it all and have another go.

There must be a link problem somewhere, I think ... but I'm not a techy - it took ages to resolve the object reference problem and other pop ups (I used ej's instruction and did all those other downloads) ... all just to try and save the integrity of my listings!
