Thinking of getting an electronic organiser can anyone recommned good brands?
Oops sorry for the typo in the title

Hi as per my title thinking of getting an electronic organiser, must have the whole month viewable, have a decent sized screen

Must be able to fit into my handbag (which is quite large)

I would always have a hardcopy of important dates etc at home but wanting something i can easily access especially for work hours to confirm extra days, hours etc suit.

Can anyone recommend anything that may be suitable?

Thanks

Just get an iphone or other smartphone, then you don't need to carry two devices around.  You can run your calendar, address book and to do lists ll on one device  that is also your phone.  If you want to you can even get internet and email on it.

Funny you should mention electronic organisers. I dug out my old one that I haven't used for about a decade, as I thougt it might be quite useful to take when I go overseas next week, to put in email addresses, phone numbers, dates, times, places etc. I couldn't find the original manual so hunted all over the internet for one and could only find two - one I had to BUY (for heaven's sake, it's more than 10 years old) and would have cost over $20, the other was a really bad photocopy of someone's original manual. I had to buy 3 new batteries first - cost around $12, but thought I was set. So I tried to enter some phone numbers. I sort of got some in OK then tried to update the calendar (which had defaulted to sometime in the late 1990s). Do you think I could figure out how to do it. Nah. So I just gave up.

Instead I've entered all important phone numbers into my mobile, and created a address group within my gmail account which will allow me to send emails to family in friends in one go. Then today my daughter suggested I write an email to myself at my gmail address with an itinerary with all the imporant addresses, phone numbers, places etc etc, which I hopefully be able to access from any public computer if I happen to lose my printed version of the itinerary.

So, the moral of the story? Great idea but too hard to program for an old dinosaur like me. But in its day, it was fantastic. BTW the brand is a Sharp and I was considering listing it here (in about a month's time), but you need to be intuitively tech savvy to work it out how to program it, cos the manual is useless.

With my phone its an old one and the calendar isnt very good, maybe i should update my phone but hesitate as there is nothing wrong with it and i actually like it lol

Something to think about anyway.

Call me old fashioned but when I went overseas 15 years ago, I used a blank hard covered book and wrote all the details in it and I added things to it during my tour around the US. I still have the book and can sit and read it through without the problem of batteries, things not working or remembering how to use it..Give me the simple life..!!!

You can always buy yourself a nokia E63 (outright) which has a calendar for those important dates, microsoft office on it, can store email address, etc and it also has internet as well.  It is also a smart phone.
