That foundation question again....
Hi all,

Ok, I have normal skin (not oily, but not fleakey either)
I do have problems around the nose/chin with large pores.
No huge spots/pimples anymore thankfully
I do have slightly uneven skin tone, so need medium coverage I think..

So, what would you recommend??

Clinique pore minimizer instant perfector for the large pores. it's a miracle product. tiny tube but goes a long way & lasts through any humidity.
Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Foundation. It's in a compact, layers as needed with a brush, which means it covers almost anything & most importantly looks natural. I don't care how much a product will cover-up, if it looks like I'm wearing makeup, I don't want it.

As the sailor said without a condom - trust me

No seriously, I take my make-up really seriously as you do. This mineral makeup is nothing like the rest and truecolor is particularly horrible. yuk!

I'm really fussy, as you sound. I think I tried just about every make-up.. just about. Pur Minerals is different. Not like a mineral make-up, not like any other. it's in a compact as I said, so there aren't bits flying everywhere. It's neat & natural.

If you look & you find a bad review - let me know. I'd be interested.

I like the  Mirenesse range of foundations - both liquid and mineral, I probably have much the same sort of skin as you as well as the small cracks that Calostemma has - well around my eyes because I squint a lot lol

Very natural looking and feeling - Australian made and owned, made from natural ingredients - love them!

This thread has answered some of the questions I have always worried about and I will purchase the recommended products. I can go forward, confident in any social situation knowing that my extra large pores and huge pimples and warts are invisible and my skin at last will be an even hue all over

I like Revlon colorstay it was recommended to me at modelling college when i was 18 and have used it since.
Had the chance to try Chanel make-up and found it horrible so pricey isnt always the best.

mild exfoliation will help with open pores, and i like Makeupforever and clinique foundations. Use a brush around the nose and  it helps the application!

Hi Ivnkermit,

Your skin sounds quite similar to mine.  I use MAC powder compact and am quite happy with it.  I apply with a foundation/powder brush so you get quite a natural coverage and you can also layer how much coverage you want so would be quite good for your uneven skin tone.   The only thing though you need to be aware of is if your uneven skin tone consists of a lot of redness, then it can be slightly harder to cover.

I have also used Revlon colour stay compact with success until they changed it and from then it made my eyes sting. :(

Also just be aware if you use a powder foundation when applying around the eyes as you want to avoid that caked on look.

Hope this helps.
