No harm leaving it there, there's been some quiet times here as well, then a few sales happen quickly then its dead quiet again. Who knows, if you leave it there a busy period might peak up on you from no where, especially with xmas just round the corner

For a small amount of $5 a month, I keep my store open, I seem to sell enough each month to cover the costs - and since listing is free I can offer a full range here which I cannot afford to do over there.

This is such a nice friendly place to be!

Hi
I've had a shop since day one & have never regretted having it :-)

It also has shops popping up in advertising - so, worthwhile
do you advertisie your shop elsewhere? like facebook- or in blogs / forums

worth giving a "plug" anywhere you can - to try and bring the buyers to you :-)
I noticed on carsales.com.au- there's a competition - one of the prizes has $1,000 worth of vouchers for items here :-)
( I think the 1st prize was a motor bike ! )

For min fee of $5 a month- less than $1.25 a week- it's worth it- having a shop - IMO
cheers :-)

 Heya Michelle,
Keep it open darl, if for no other reason than to show/promote your brand. I only shut mine down because I closed the business and didn't want to misguide people thinking I was still running fulltime as a business.
It's cheap advertsing and former customers will recognise you instantly when/ if they wander over here.

If you don't have much listed and are barely covering costs, I would close the shop, use regular listings and keep that money for yourself.

I'm not convinced that buyers are generally interested in whether or not you have a shop or branding per se.

Yes, shops give you the ability to have a sale but generally it seems to be the same sellers having sales over and over.

I think shops are for the people who have the time and like the extra work it entails (or like me, just can't bear to get rid of it!) but I don't believe they have much in the way of extra benefits on this site. JMHO

I've closed my vshop here twice before and each time have eventually re-opened it. Its so much easier to check listings and stock with the categories and now you also have the benefit that you won't be charged relist fees if you have a vshop.

I also find that I prefer to browse other sellers if they have vshops as you can quickly look and see what type of items they have by their categories on their home page & pics (if they have them) without scrolling through heaps of pages.

Good luck with what ever you decide to do !
