Shopping Spree Promotion - have you had any sales due to this promotion?
Hi everyone,

I received an email regarding the Shopping Spree Promotion and decided to have a look at items for sale on Quicksales.  Mind you, I hadn't done this for a while.  As a result, I have bought a few items and have qualified for the promotion.

I'm curious and wondered if this promotion has resulting in you either buying and/or selling items. 

With many people away for the Easter-Anzac break, I also wondered whether the promotion might be off to a slow start.

Yes for the selling, but only one buyer opted for paypal payment method...we ourselves don't use paypal for anything barr rare overseas purchases.  :)

Surprisingly, I had a couple of sales this week…but I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence or due to the promotion.

Yup , well they paid with PP so I'm asuming they may have entered the comp. I'm still looking if I get a bit of free time today I'll do some shopping.

I have only had one PayPal sale since the promotion started, so it hasn't affected my sales/lack of sales.

I've had more people looking, but then I don't offer Paypal, and after much consideration, don't choose to,  particularly as there appears to be no seller protection for Quicksales sellers.  Re shopping:  I don't go window shopping but will look for things I want.

no sales,but with what i sell,i dont expect the promo to have any effect,buying no as what little buying i do is usually for those who havent sold much,those who sell 50 items a month i probably wouldnt buy from,as they dont need my purchase,but thats not to say i woudnt as i have my eye on an item with a seller who sells a lot,can someone please explain to me why some people's ids have an about me page & some do not.issabella10 has a very nice about me page,but some people dont have even have it to click on.very strange

We had aur first paypal buyer over the weekend,  other buyer opted to bank deposit, so can't really say if the promo is working for us.
My sister has been buying under her id to get entries in the promo

I purchased a heap of books from 1 seller....specifically to enter the promo.....so yes , promo induced me to buy.
As to selling ...nope , no sales....
Still waiting for my buying karma to come back to me....still have quite a few weeks of promo to go though ! :>)

nope... and I do offer paypal.
I had 2 from before the promotion, one has just paid via Bank I think the other is also paying via Bank.
about 100 books have dropped into unsold.
they have done about 3 laps so off they go to the opp shop now.

In my appinion, I think its off to a slow start but people get back from their holidays, I think it will improve then..I am glad its running till 25th may. marie

It will be interesting to see if sales differ from week to week.  I do think alot of people are away and/or spending money elsewhere whilst the kids are home on school holidays.  We'll see what happens after the kids are back at school.

Schools will probably be hitting parents up for fees or excursions but sales always differ everywhere & can't be predicted unfortunately. :)

Marie,you've sold a dozen things since the 20th,granted its not a lot of money in total,but surely thats not too bad?i did say i wanted you to sell a lot,so im hoping you will sell close to 100 items by the end of the promo

thats cool Samboogem,but some people dont even have an about me page thing to click on,whereas some do.very puzzling.if its blank,no biggie,the funniest is pashminas,as theres an adget on it.hahaha

we have sold heaps and dont accept pay pal so we are loving it maybe it is bringing more people that dont mind if you have pay pal or not

Hello Quicksalers

I've sold over 20 items....17 paid PayPal.

bought and sold thanks to the promo.  Added PP to invoices and all but one chose to pay PP perhaps because of the promo. 

I promptly spent my PP money on another QuickSales Seller
