Selling
I have now been selling again on here for a month, nothing yet has sold, is there some sort of trick to it?

The trick is to be in the right place at the right time with the right product at the right price.

You have a grey name so can't see what you are selling, therefore can't give any advice

If you email me, I may be able to break that spell.

Or you could slowly grow your listing numbers & wait for the right buyer to come along. I'm doing OK with this method. As mentioned; If you have a blue ID anyone reading this could look & maybe find something they'd like to buy. Cheers, TTLG

Edit-  Hi Marie! I'm off to watch Star Trek ( sad I know)

There are no 'tricks' - best results are obtained by having lots of items for sale, preferably across a wide range of categories. Good clear photos go a long way towards selling your items, as do excellent descriptions. If you are selling clothes, make sure to include measurements, not just what is on the label. Also postage must be fair and reasonable, as many here are very aware of how much postage costs and will not buy from people who charge too much. Include the weights of items in all listings so people can judge for themselves whether combining purchases is possible. Offer to combine postage, and make it genuine. Other than these general guidelines, it's hard to be more specific about what you are selling without being able to click on your name (just email Admin and ask).

I have roughly 555 listings.

I would be lucky to sell one a month.

That seems to be the Quicksales way. I live in hope that their alleged advertising will produce results. Until then, I will put them on eBay after they've been here for 8 months and sell most of them for more.

Which could be seen as an indictment of QS's business model.

I shouldn't have to list them elsewhere for more in order to sell.

pete, I'm curious as to why you continue listing here? Is the time it takes to list twice (once here, once on the other site) worth it?

Grey Name?? I have currently 81 listings here and 118 on the other site.

BFUB the previous poster meant that your forum name is greyed out and therefore people can't click on it to see what you are selling. If you want it to remain private, that's fine.

If you want to change it into a blue clickable link so people can see what you sell then contact admin and I think they can change it.

advertise in as many places as you can.

get a blue username so we can see what you're selling.

piratepete, have you tried putting the price up on quicksales?  I know it won't guarantee a sale but sometimes a higher price makes people think it must be good and they want it even more.  I've found when I've lowered prices I usually get less sales, not more.

I admire you for listing here first.  If we all have lots of listings here the buyers will eventually come.  If there's nothing listed when people have a look they won't stay.  The other site is well known but there are lots of newbies buying here all the time so word must be getting around.

sorry, have emailed QS asking to change it, also asked them to hone verify as you can't enter a mobile and we only have mobiles.

If you drop ship you should also say this on your listings as you don't actually have the items in stock with you. Maybe you should read information about selling on here to get up to date on things. :)
