Selling boy's clothes
Hi all, I have been on this site for 5 years and love it. Only recently started selling boys clothes as I have 2 boys( and 2 girls) and always find it so hard to get good boys gear second hand at op shops or online. Boys tend to wear their things out.

What I'd like to know is do boys clothes sell for you? I sell a lot of girl's clothes but just wonder about boys' clothes?

I have always had trouble moving boys clothing for sale, the girls clothing sells really easily, not sure why?

I only have boys clothes to sell, and find they go really well. I am fairly new here and am already noticing return buyers as what I sell is always immaculate as new condition. alison

What about good to very good second hand boys clothes, do they sell?

As long as you are totally honest within your listing, and if a mark or damage, no matter how small, mention it.
My eldest Grandson only comes over every 2nd weekend, so many of his clothes I sell get washed and not worn, or maybe worn once.
I am sure buyers would appreciate to be able to buy everyday clothing for boys, as we all know they can be hard on clothes, being boys! Give it a try anyway, you have nothing to lose.  Marian

All the people who respond saying they sell boys clothes, I'm actually looking at your listings now for my youngest boy, there's some great stuff there!

Hi,

I sell both boys and girls clothes, as I have ten grandchildren, and my kids give me everything to sell as the don't have the time.

I find that they both sell equally well for me - mind you they are nearly all designer labels, and I don't sell them to make a profit for my kids, only to let someone get the benefit of some lovely items hardly used.

I probably sell more boys clothes though, as I tend to get more for the girls clothes as they are so lovely. I only have three grandaughters and seven grandsons, so am probably biased.

I have 5 Grandsons aged 9, 6, 5,2 & 1yrs & find it hard buying good second hand clothes for them. My 3 Grand daughters get spoilt as there is always a good range for them. My DIL has actually told me to stop buying her girls clothes as they now have too many.

That's interesting. I actually have a few boys items listed and they have hardly been looked at whereas girls' gear flies out the door often soon after it's listed. It could be because my size range for boys gear is small but I thought boys clothes would be much more sought after than girls clothes on here.

Same for me has been for years here, girls clothing out the door but not boys, regardless of size.

Same for me has been for years selling here, girls clothing out the door cant keep up with the demand, but not boys, regardless of size, it takes ages to even get watchers on anything.

Not sure if it's because there just isnt enough of a good range out their for boys as there is for girls, or if mums just like to buy lots of clothes for their little princess's ? I know myself with 4 daughters i buy way too many clothes for them , i go overboard buying loads more than what they need and it becomes more of 'ooooh that is so pretty, have to have it!' and most of the items they dont even end up wearing as i have bought toooo much for them!

Yep! I think it goes way back to when us mums were little and we would 'dress up' our dolls, its inbred in us haha.

Once we grow up and have 'real' babies its addictive buying dresses and pretty things for them.
I counted the dresses in my youngest girl's wardrobe and there were 20 dresses in total i ended up accumulating in size 00 and 0 and she only wore a few of them, i just couldnt resist buying them?

I sell both boy's and girl's clothing as well. The girl's clothing definitely gets sold faster. Perhaps it is because there is more variety in girl's clothing. Boy's just seem to wear the same old jeans, shorts and tops. Nothing a bit different.

I know I have bought my one and only granddaughter so many clothes that she will never get the wear out of most of them. As for the 5 little boys.......................I tend to buy lots at the same time and wait until they are the age to wear them. I have 5 grandsons, one 5, one 4 and the other 3 are 3 years old. They all get the same clothes but different colours & designs.

The more we all list, the more buyers we should have here, so list up everybody!

I sell boys and girls clothes and have to agree that the girls clothes are a better seller for me ... perhaps little boys don't have to be made into fashion statements every time they go out

My niece is 3 and her mum has just given me her clothes to sell. The bags totally fill up the back seat of my car right up to the roof .... my niece has had more clothes in her first 3 years than I think my son has had in 20 years!
