Sales figures for January?
My sales over January were the lowest month since November 2009. How were yours?

I started listing on 26th January after a long break from here.
Sold 18 items between 26th and 31st January so pretty happy.

February is off to a lot slower start though (2 items so far).
I definitely found that there were heaps more clicks and watchers than previously.
SPOTD has a lot more hits too.

Same here. I thought it was just me.. I had worst sales for December ever and January too. I also make up hampers outside Quicksales. I make more sales with them than what I did on Quicksales.

I don't really keep track from month to month but things where looking good but alas a couple of non payers put a dampener on it.
Anyway these things happen so items have been relisted and all is fine.

I hate to say this, and might I add I am always an optomistic person...but I think the days of us little people selling on line are nearing the end of it's run...The bigger B&m stores are starting in a big way now --- because of parking fees, petrol, traffic congestion and all the other things that make it hard for people to get to the shops like they used to. omo.

LOL Fran, me too.

December was good $450.00 (37 sales) - January little bit less $345.00 - (19 sales).
Percentages, don't know - don't care.
But no complaints here.

Not sure of percentages either as I never check but on average, I have about 30 sales per month so definitely not complaining here!  This month is off to a flying start with the latest promotion! Well done QS!!

I've only been back from holidays since the 22nd Jan and have done pretty well so far - I normally only have one or two sales an month if I am lucky.  Good timing for me as I was tossing up whether to stay here or not and I am def going to stay a little longer now.  Have to admit though that I have been pushing Quicksales on Facebook a fair bit and one of my sales was directly from there.

I do agree though with franticfran - we have just received our school fees for $6000 and paid out book fees of $400 so I haven't been doing any online shopping at all.  I was going to have even longer on holidays for my online stores as I wanted to have a big break and get refreshed but came but early as we need the money.

Cheers, Ang.

$6000 in fees Ang??? OMG!  Can I ask how many kids you have?  Do they go to a private school?

Knwow how you feel Ang.
My two kids have school fees of $5,500 plus one has a trip to Canberra which is another $750 plus books of $500 and then more bits of uniforms cause they decided to grow (that came in at about $400).
They better be getting a good education so they get high paid jobs to look after me soon.

The government must think we are rich.. Those prices are absolutely disgusting. I know that I am not paying as much as both of you, but I am sure I will be when my daughter goes to high school. She is only in grade 4 now and I paid $200 there, so one can only imagine what I will pay in the future. The price of school fees is just rediculous. As I said, we arent rich..!!!

Mine have been great but only because I have been having a sale, and am now doing the same this week,as I will be away for three weeks later this month.  I too want to get rid of stuff before I fall off the perch like Fran.  Ten grandchildrens'  lovely things , it's just getting too much for me.

I think we should look at each other's items and give each other a hand rather than just talking about it.

At least that will be something.

It's great that there is a lot more traffic and a lot more watchers, as well as a lot more items listed.  Having said that I didn't have many sales in Dec or Jan and haven't had many really since about Sept last year, a lot less than I had been enjoying previously.

I made the effort to acquire more stock to get me over the 1000 items mark, but will have to cut back a bit on buying stock for a while til things look up.

I think the same as quite a few others - people are doing it hard at the moment, Xmas then school fees and books (some horrendous costs for some people) makes for a very 'light' purse with not much left to spend.

I had a great January which is continuing into Feb... Evidently my niche market is all the sort of stuff that you've been looking to find for ages & haven't until now... (or so I'm told!)

Lots of Brand New customers including one each from USA & Russia.

They both raved about my low postage price & super packaging & help (even though their postage prices via Austpost made me cringe with embarrassment!)

I had a low in Aug/Sept last year, but right now is just fine for me! New buyers buying bulk lots & trusting me to do a good deal on postage seems to be good for me. I'm able to do well on Temando AAE parcels for bulk interstate customers & recommend their service to all!

December was dead for me
January was ok
February starting off nicely.

Doesn't mean profit though since most of my items are marked down to clear.

I have had a very slow run maybe one a month if I am lucky since about the same time period.
I am actually a bit surprised that with the cost of everything going up why everyone is not using this option or the "other online auction" site just absorbing what could potentially be our business.

Funnily enough though, ever time I think I will either  opt out of quicksales and try my hand at that "other online auction" site or just give everything to charity - I make a sale

Having said that - I notice that there is a lot less for sale on quicksales these days and I noticed one site, when I was looking for some candles was totally absorbed by what I think was a v-shop - 250 pages and the candles were ALL from this one place. I was a little disappointed.

Have a nice day everyone and good luck with your sales.

In the last 30 days I've sold just over 100 items

Thanks Quicksales and all my buyers

magnolia134 Glad that I am in good company and not the only one with fewer sales in January.

More watchers so far in February.......................but will they purchase? Can only hope so. Slowly but surely the back room is disappearing under all the items waiting to be listed.

Need some inspiration and we all need lots of sales.
