Rolled photos
I know someone in here will be able to help me with a problem.
My husband has 4 or 5 school photos and they were taken using the pamaramic method ending up around 3foot long.
We have decided to get them flattened and framed.
Can any one suggest how they could be flattened and what sort of colour/style would suit then'The pictures are plain black & White.
Thanks so much

pamaramic - well you (should) learn something new every day - but what is pamaramic?

Long wide view , like 2-3 times longer then the standard shot .

If your having them professionally framed then have a chat with them as they will know how to proceed.
They also have frames and mats that you can mix and match , I reckon sticking to black and greys/white thin border would be the best .

Rolling loosely back the other way carefully then securing with a large band or paper stuck around them for awhile then lay them flat.
Even if they are still abit curled this will be fixed when framed.
A framer can also mount them on a light weight foam backing to keep them flat.

I wouldn't roll them backwards , if they are old they may well crackle on the surface , a framer will most likely know the best way to go about it , far too precious to play with IMO .

We use to place them between two sheets of heavy glass to flatten photos, but they need to be warm so don't get them out of a box in a cold corner of the house and do it straight away you need to put them where they will warm up first.

A good framer will have the propery equipment for flattening them out contact your framer first. They should have special made frames for this sort of thing that will hold the glass they put them between flat and be able to tighten it to the right pressure to flatten the photo.

Panoramic photography is a technique of photography, using specialized equipment or software, that captures images with elongated fields of view.
I googled lol.

From my Googling, it seems humidity may be the answer to your problem. Check out....www.google.com.au/search

Thanks so much to everyone who was good enough to reply to my post.I apologise for the incorrect spelling of panoramic which obviously confused some.
Cracking was my worst fear.So far they seem to be in good condition and we have had them unrolled to look at them.
I will most certainly take them to the framers and let them attend to them as they see fit.
My thanks again

aha, now it all makes sense..................................go to a professional for help otherwise you could do unrepairable damage and it costs nothing for free advice.
