Reverse cycle air con.
Hi All now to most this will sound like a stupid question.
I hate Air conditioners anyway I had one installed a few months ago.
I don't think the installers left a booklet on it regarding operating instructions.
I thought they would of been self explanatory. it is a reverse cycle..as far as I know. twice now I have tried to use it to warm up the room.
I turned it on... set the temp to 30c....waited...waited... 20 mins later.. 18c was 17 to start off with then down to 16c I have pressed a couple of diff buttons to get it to improve.. What I'm I missing....
I know a functioning Brain..lol but other then that?.
any help please..
yes I have googled it... no luck... I might have to phone for help.
wanted to ask here 1st.

Are you sure it is on the heating cycle and not on the cooling cycle ? there should be a readout on the remote control screen that shows what cycle it's on, you can scroll through the cycles using a button on the remote

Thats weird that you the temperature is so different.

As spade mentioned still check to make sure you heating (which is normally a picture of a sun)  thats found on the "Mode" button

You can increase the fan by pressing it and set the Vane to where you want it to blow such as straight down or away from you

What brand is it?

You first need to change the mode from cooling to heating, rich

Just a heads up... most air conditioners should have the heating temp set somewhere around 18-22 degrees (and certainly never above 23)... this information regarding the optimum settings can be found in the instruction manual (google is your friend ).  Setting it at 30 degrees is not advisable... as it would cause the compressor to run continuously... greatly increase your energy consumption and therefore power bill... severely shorten the life of the air conditioning unit... and create a very uncomfortable and somewhat unbearable sauna effect.

These conditions could actually be fatal for somebody with respiratory problems... and even a healthy person would be forced to open the windows and/or doors to avoid passing out

Most manuals / user guides are availble to download from the manufacturers sites these days.
What's the Brand and/or model?

Thank you all. ok I have found the "mode" I have changed setting to "sun" icon hopefully next time I try it it will work. temp here now is 21 it is not too bad. I can't take it cooler then that..lol
My Problem was with not being used to using an air con I didn't know my way around the remote control. I had worked out what somethings meant. all sorted now (I Hope) now I know what that "mode" is for.
thanks mates xxxx

Dont forget also, if you are using your ceiling fan to blow the hot air down, you need to flick the switch from Summer to Winter.
We run our air con on 24 maximum, and get too hot. Marian

if you ring the company they would probably send out a booklet for a small fee or you may be able to download one from the internet kk
