Removing beads from strings
I have broken strings of beads that have the beads actually stuck on to the string ( and I mean string here) Does anybody know how to get the beads OFF the string? Thanks

I don;t think you can remove them without harming the beads. I have had some and whatever the glue is it really works. I am thinking that the beads are actually molded onto the string at the time of manufacture. You could try some acetate ie nail varnish remover to try to soften the glue but if the bead is plastic it will affect it as well.

Thanks Chrissy, yes the beads are plastic . I shall see if I can use some remover VERY carefully
