question about spending vouchers
Just a quick question for those who know.  If a voucher winner purchases and checks out immediately but there is no paypal address shown can they still use the voucher after the invoice is sent?

I am asking this because from what I have read the box to enter the voucher number shows at checkout but I have removed my paypal address due to people buying multiple items but only paying postage for one (fault of the system, not the buyer)

I am sure someone will know the answer and this will save me bothering admin with the question.

Thanks
Ellen

Yes they can.  When they go to the paypal payment bit is still has a spot to put the vouvher number.

I did not know that. When I checked out and forgot to put in the number the only way I could figure out how to pay using voucher is cancel sale and rebuy. Going to paypal itself did not work as the voucher was not accepted.

From what I have read the foucher number has to be put in at checkout so I am thinking the buyer would have to wait for an invoice before going to checkout but a lot just pay at checkout and that is why I removed my paypal address.

There has been a lot of discussion about this problem in the forums

Miranda, you are right, entering the voucher number in the Paypal payment window will not work, but if you use the Pay Now link on the invoice, you can enter the voucher number on the invoice screen just like at checkout.

Ahhhhhh, thank you Boo, that is what I was wondering about because from what I had read in here previously I thought the box to enter the number only showed at checkout.

ej I put the paypal address in , send the invoice then remove it again

Sales are not that plentiful that this has been a problem so far.

Hmmmm ..... OK .... Just a trifle confuzzled as it was set up to operate from Checkout ......

Which, for the record, I disagree with .... so I'm happy to hear it can be worked at Invoice level ....

I am happy with that too because I made a sale where the buyer bought multiples, paid on checkout before payment had been adjusted which is why I do not give my paypal address until I send an invoice.

Would be a lot easier if buyers could not pay on checkout but  you have to work with the system that is in place.

As far as I could see, none of my sellers had their PayPal email address showing, just had the PayPal accepted logo so it showed up as a payment method.

Spending the vouchers is different to normal buying in that the voucher is paid for on Checkout, not the Invoice.
As in the instructions written with the notification.

When you receive the Quicksales Message saying you have won the item you open the message and click on the Go to Checkout words.

Then you click on the box next to the word Paypal.

Choose a payment method
 Bank Deposit
 Money Order
 Bank Cheque
 PayPal

Then you scroll down to the box next to the words Voucher Code and this is where you type in the number.

Optional requests
I request delivery insurance Insurance Info
I require Proof of delivery    Voucher
 Voucher code:

Then you click on the button next to it and it automatically takes the amount off the voucher and says

Voucher discount: -$38.55
Total Due Total Due: $0.00

When you go to your My Buying and click on the link My Vouchers it shows how much you have left and if you click on View History it shows all of the transactions.

Then you go to mark the Invoice as paid. I do that in My Summary under Buying Reminders.

Edit.
This is important. When buying more than one item from the one seller, I had to wait for the invoice with the correct postage showing BEFORE Completing Checkout so I could type in the postage on Checkout and clicked on Recalculate.
This is also where and when the buyers adds the amount for Registered Post if applicable.

This is what I was sent from Quicksales and I checked with Admin that it was to be done on Checkout not the Invoice.
Which I take to mean that Quicksales pays for the items purchased, not PayPal.

You can view your voucher under your 'My Buying' section in 'My quicksales'.

You can spend your voucher in increments, or all in one go, simply head to quicksales.com.au and purchase items on us! Remember to shop with sellers who accept PayPal, and apply your voucher when you checkout in quicksales (not PayPal).
