PS3 & Xbox360 Games
Ive been having a look through the gaming section for PS3 and Xbox360 games
Most of the games have a unbelievable price fixed to them...more then they cost in the shops

My question is ....is there a market here for games at decent prices

Im thinking of selling the latest brand new sealed games in PAL format for good prices with postage included
These are not asian or american copies ...but PAL format

It seems quite a few people dont realise that if they buy a foreign copy ...such as (US version) modern warfare 2(NTSC) ...that they will have to make an american playstation network account to be able to buy and download map packs...this is a breach of sonys conditions if you create a account from a different country....but is the only way to get the maps etc because the australian playstation store doesnt support foreign discs.

Any thoughts ?

Well my hubby is always on the lookout for Xbox 360 games, but ones I have seen so far here he has got or doesn't play that type.  I'm always on the lookout for pc games that would interest me too.  So I say, if it doesn't cost to list why not give it a go - don't forget (if you do list) to put an ad in spotd  announcing you are here and what you sell.

The games I was thinking about will be the latest ones and even some preorder ones(depending if people are willing to wait) ....killzone 3, crysis 2 etc

I havent played any PC games in years so I guess it would depends what type of games are wanted...but I could certainly sell pc games too.

Thanks for the spotd idea .... Im still only in the process of begining this venture but all info is most welcome :o)

I am not sure how well xbox games sell, as I have some listed for $23 & $30, brand new & sealed, while others are listed for $80, and they dont seem to sell. sonja

yes I guess the xbox 360 is a bit hit and miss at times...I know more people with PS3's to be honest ...and there is still the point of people would rather pay 20 bucks extra from the shop because they dont want to wait.

that being said it still amazes Me the price differences between shops like EB games and big w .... I was having a look the other day and the prices on one game in particular was 40 dollars difference from the above mentioned shops... makes you wonder how they stay in business with such a big difference.

Hi 100% YES!

Im currently looking for games such as Crackdown, Mech assault 2 and Blur- Yes some of the games listed are hugely expensive not just xbox but ds games as well.

Also Xbox games for girls.

Id be interested for sure if they are a good price and of course genuine.

From previous experience most shops (especially k-mart, big w, etc are able to sell them cheaper than most people can get them from aussie wholesalers (unless they are fake) even ebay sellers only make about 5 bucks but because they sell heaps in a day its worth there while, so good luck.

Im assuming by xbox you mean xbox360 and not the original xbox ? .... just to be sure ...thought I better ask lol

I'll have a look for the titles you mentioned ...what age range are you looking for girls games

a couple of girl gamers I know play modern warfare...black ops etc...so it depends if you want girl games specific like hannah montanna etc

I havent really thought about Ds games at present...might be something I will look at later once established

As for fake games .... I dont fancy paying out thousands in fines or going to jail...so have no fear of that lol

i will say it again its practically impossible to sell genuine games less than department stores unless you have purchased an unwanted item and are selling as such. I have to give it to you though you sound convincing. I will be happy to purchase one of your items and send it to nintendo etc for verification that your items are genuine australian releases

Im a little unsure by what you mean as fake games

I know that there are fake DS cartridges out there and even copied games for the xbox360/PS3

but the copied xbox360 ones wont work unless you have a modded console
and copied PS3 ones wont work unless you have a jailbreak device

The PS3 has no region coding in their games but they do limit you on DLC (DownLoadable Content) ...unless its either Australian or UK PAL versions...both of these will work with playstation store content.

The same can be said for the xbox360 .... although Im unsure about DLC for NTSC(america etc) games on xbox Live australia

Are you serious. You can get fake games from china, you don't need a cracked console to play them and they come in the same cases as the shop ones. Im sure someone else in the forums can confirm they have purchased fakes that look identical to originals.

Lol yes 360 sorry :-)

Re girls games to suit a 9-10 yr old so yes games like Hannah Montana etc would be great.

Defaintely interested if you can get resonably priced ds games as well for both boys(teens)  and girls :-)

Ahhh now I understand ...your talking about buying from china...well if thats what you want to do then thats the risk you take....

but you seem to be under the wrong impression of what I am wanting to do

I did NOT say that the games are from australia .... they are original PAL formats Games imported from a supplier I have dealt with for years now.

Im not here to argue with you doh...or to even con anyone...I was seeking information and wether anyone would be interested....nothing more.

Perhaps you should have said they are not from the australia.

Maybe they are cheaper but i have a feeling most aus buyers will be hesitant at purchasing these.

yes they are UK originals ...I wasnt meaning to mislead anyone 

Maybe your right and people wont be interested although I find that kind of strange considering the games are perfect in every way and originals and a lot cheaper then australian versions.

Ive bought a large amount of games from the UK and never had a problem with any of them playing

For obvious reasons I would not import R18+ as these are illegal to import to australia under the calssifications act

Well I would still be interested in looking at what you had Rob.  Hubby is especially interested  in that killzone one.  He just loves shooting things..lol

There are some great first shooters coming out this year

Killzone 3 and bulletstorm are already out

later in the year there is crysis 2, homefront,deux ex human revolution,resistance 3 and a couple of others ... also rumoured modern warfare 3 (sledgehammer) towards the end of the year.

Sorry mygifts2 ... killzone 3 is only available for the PS3

xbox 360 shooter games available are :
COD Black Ops
Halo Reach
Fallout new vegas
Medal of honour Ltd Ed
Battlefield bad company 2
Fallout 3

To name but a few

As long as they play in our Xbox 360 im also happy to try them as well :-)

Games are so expensive these days and if i can get genuine cheaper games that are perfect and identical in everyway, play the same etc i would definately try them as said.

Let me know once your up and running as id be interested in having a look through your items :-)

ds games are very hard to sell i think we have them listed for 10 they are the real deal we have lots of watches though

Its finding the right games though isnt it.

Newer games, we would definately be interested in especially cheaper genuine versions.

There is a game (wont mention name of it)been here at least 18months- way above what you can buy it for in the shops.It hasnt sold no wonder!

If someone can bring in reasonably priced games word would get around (imo only of course)

I know when one of my children buy items with their pocket money they often get asked where they got it from- Now thats exposure from preteens to teens from just 3 children which is then multiplied

 Imagine tapping into that market, knowing that quicksales is the place to come to get all your games from- I know alot of my older sons friends regulary hang out in EBgames and have laybys there.

And the answer to your question is YES .....the games will play in an australian PAL xbox360 (including the slim versions)

Ive looked at many forums and put quite a bit of time and effort into checking that all these games will be compatible
otherwise its pointless trying to sell them...like Ive said before Im not here to con or cheat anyone ....Ive been buying games from the UK since the PS3 and xbox360's came out ...never bothered with the ps2 because they were region locked and wouldnt work unless you had a modded console.

Im only looking at the latest games...not older ones as these can be picked up pretty cheap at kmart etc when they have their clearance sales.

Here is an example (hope I dont get in trouble for this lol)

Dead space 2  for ps3 or xbox360
EB games $79
Game $88.
Big W $103. (online price)

I can sell this game including postage for $65.

some games are cheaper then others ...but its still a saving if its coming out of a kids pocket money
