Plus Size Clothing - Help Please

Can anyone please tell me how to translate plus size clothing into average sizes.

Eg: a plus size dress which has medium on the label but it looks like a size 20 or something???

Thanks in advance for your reply.

I wouldn't be tempted to list them anyway other then with the correct label size and then a hand measurements of Bust , Waist , Length etc

Perhaps mention in the listing that it is a generous M size etc.

If you have a Plus Size dress marked Medium, then you must include the measurements in your listing, otherwise it is meaningless. The problem becomes how to correctly list it in the title. .

If you have a look at the Help page of my v-shop (http://www.quicksales.com.au/vshops/help.aspx?shopid=7167), you will find a size chart (to size 26) I have drawn up for clothing based on my experience in measuring 1000s of items of clothing over the last few years.

There is an online clothing size converter by brand. I cannot remember what it is called, but do a search for that.

I do a search by the label. So if its eg  an autograph label I google for the size conversion. Most of them can be found on google. If I can't find them I email the company and ask for a size comparison chart. It worked for autograph but I think that is even available on the net now. My size also have S M L XL which makes it hard too, and there is also different sizes for stretch and non stretch garments. But adding in the measurements if a must to avoid buyer disappointment.

Good luck with it!
Cheers, Julie

Thanks so much for your help!!  Don't think I'll get much listed today with 7 children here, but will see how we go.
