Please let us use our referral money towards fees Admin
Hi.

I know I have talked about this before and I contacted Admin at the time. But nothing is being done about the many dollars many of us have sitting in our referral accounts, for years.

If we can now relist for free on manual listings,  why cant we also put our referral money towards the fees we do get?

We dont have to take it out, just use it towards the fees we get, that way we still have to take it out if it reaches $5 so Q/S dont have to pay us all at once.

PLease Admin consider this. You have many loyal sellers here who have worked hard to bring in more customers, please give us this one  litle thing.

Not sure what you mean beani, you can use it for fees.  In fact I think that's all you can use it for.

I think it would be a better idea to use funds from paypal to pay fees would be a better option.

Might be useful, brats, but then that has to be admin's choice, after all they don't insist that we use Paypal, so why should we insist that they do?  Especially since PP is owned by the opposition.

You can transfer referral credit into your prepaid quicksales account at any time. The minimum you can transfer is $5.00.

have close to $5 but JUST not enough.. so I'll never get the money. I have referred and referred for 5 years and only a handful use my number and then I'll never get the money out.

Hi Beani; I've had $4.00 sitting there for more than 6 months! Putting it towards fees would be great!

OT/  What's with the ads? I have a number of my items in the scroll throughs above. Does everyone see the same thing? Or is it tailored to the things you personally list or buy? Just wondering if everyone sees the same thing? Cheers, TTLG.

Not quite sure what the OP means.   All I ever use my referral money for, is paying my account.  It has come in pretty handy.  And what if it sits there for years... it is not as if you had to deposit it.  It is a bonus after all.

And yes!  TTLG. I too see the ads, none of which I recognise.

Hi Lifey! Lovely to see you! My big OT question was:-  Does everyone see the same ads? I see my items heavily featured in the scrollers above. What do you & others see? Anything you've recently listed or clicked on? I'm just trying to fathom how it might work.

My thoughts at present is that what I see is what I have listed & similar items. This doesn't mean I'd want to buy a similar item to what I have for sale! Goodness knows I have too many similar items yet to list!

I do have regular customers who await my new listings. I'm not sure that many of them have visited the Community boards!
Cheers, TTLG.

It's my understanding (I could be wrong), that these ads work similarly to the ads you see when conducting a google search, they are randomly selected from categories that match the subject matter.  I believe that the OP has a drop down box when they post from which they can choose a category which describes the subject of their trhead.  The ads are then picked at random from category(s) that fit the subject.  If the subject is clothing for example, the likelihood is that many of the responses will be from clothing sellers and naturally they may expect to see some of their items there, as well as those of other clothing sellers.

Hi again Boo. You responded to a thread I wrote in Help earlier tonight. I see no scroll ads when I view that thread. Does the OP see nothing? Do different people see different things? Just wondering.. Cheers, TTLG
EDIT - right now a number of my items are in the scroller between your post & mine. Weird?

I think they only appear every five or so posts, short threads won't necessarily have them.

EDIT> Just posted a test thread and picked clothing and accessories.  Ads came up directly under my OP from that category.  It appears the drop down list is alphabetical and the first on the list is antiques, if the OP doesn't select a subject that is what it would default to.  That makes sense as a lot of the threads I've seen the ads in have pottery pieces, doilies etc, which are likely to be listed under antiques.  It also seems to only be BN items, so it is clearly aimed at getting people to impulse buy for an instant sale.
