Photo problem after maintenance?
Hi, I listed a few items last night, with EL, and the photos were showing o.k., but this morning, those last listings have the little camera icon with photo not submitted on them, all the others seem o.k.
Anyone else?

Looks like the uploading might have been interrupted . I'd say you will have to upload them again.

Luckily it's not that many , site seems a bit non responsive this morning maybe like me it's not awake yet

 I have just tried EL and am getting this message when trying to log in ... object reference not set to an instance of an object ....
what the heck does that mean?

Hi there,
I tried to list a few things last night as well, and noticed the same problem.  The photos would be there one minute and gone the next time I looked at the listing.  I noticed it on other sellers new listings as well.  The photos have definately uploaded as they show at times, I guess it will be a wait and see after the bug is fixed to see if we have to upload them again.

Hi, no the pictures were fine after uploading, I always check them.

I think it's something to do with the maintenance early this morning. It's happened before :(

I've already sent off an email to admin so they know

Hmm, could have sworn I put this thread in Help, but now it's in EL?  

I doubt it's exclusively an EL problem, although EL just did a big update and there was a text box saying that HTML is now no longer accepted in the payment and postage fields - it will be removed.   I don't know one bit of HTML, so it doesn't affect me ;)

I have had similar problems with both EL and online listing, I found that if you use the delete photo option (3 times, once for each photo), with the online listing then most of the time it works and the photo is uploaded, I have reported and Admin says try a different browser, apparently there are a few people having the same problem.
Also it seems that photos must now be a smaller size, I never used to bother and figured the photo would be resized when it was uploaded, now I make it 'best fit to desktop' before uploading.

If your using the latest FireFox browser ( 7.0.1) then it could be part of the problem . While I've been a fan of FF for many years but lately each update seems to be bringing more user issues with it.

(either that or some websites are not updated enough)
I haven't listed nor used EL for ages ( thanks to not having to spend hours relisting ) but there are new updates at the moment when you log in.

Yes, I'm using FF  7.0.1, but all has been ok until after this mornings maintenance.

Just had an email from admin saying my pics seem to be there, and could I send an item number for them to look further.

Well, I have sold all but one of the new listings, without pics, lol, so have sent them the remaining item number, so I hope that helps :)

isabella, re not using EL, don't you even use that to keep a copy of your listings, even if you create them manually?

just sent you a message re: 2 listings
It was happening to me & I cleaned my cookies
the photos were THERE - but came out as a camera.
what I did was open as if Iwas going to change the photos - didn't - and click submit ( or finish- whatever it says ) and they turned up.
Just like "refresh" - I think ! ? ( unsure- but worked for me)

I almost always use EL , occasionally I throw a very simple quick listing on using "Sell" on qs but when I have time I redo the listing in EL so yup have copies of everything .

I haven't listed new items for ages , been meaning to but my mojo has wondered off -  must be searching for those elusive buyers

I've been able to reload pics on 2 listings, although I kept getting that oops page for a while, but have just uploaded some more new listings and the pics on these listings are missing as well.

I've tried different browsers too and they still don't show.

I did get a reply from admin, but it looks like it still hasn't been resolved, because I've had no further reply and still no pics.

Pics from new listings last night are not showing either, so problem is still there. 
Maybe it is an EL problem because when I used sell similar for one item the pic showed?
