permanent make up

Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone or knows of anyone who has had permanent make up done? Does it hurt? How much does it cost? cheers Marie

They are tattoos and you are talking about your face which is quite sensitive so yes it hurts BUT they do use numbing cream if you request it (but not around eyes).

Make sure you go to someone with a lot of experience otherwise you could look like a clown for the rest of your life as it takes decades to fade just a bit.  I have seen some shocking coloured eyebrows and lips and crooked eyeliner.

I had eyeliner 17 years ago tatooed on. They do use numbing cream on eyes.

It is done with a single needle unlike a regular tatoo which uses multi needles.

The inital cost s expensive but you have to have reguar touch ups for the first 12 months. These should be FREE.

It does fade with time. I would love to have mine done again but $ do not permit.

I was very happy with mine and it lasted a good 10-15 years.

Thanks everyone for your comments. There is a place near me that does it and I have been wanting to get it done for a long time. I dont know how much it costs but if it does look really good, I am willing to save my dollars to get it done. I would love to have permanent eye liner done. I was looking this up on the internet last night and the makeup looked fantastic. Marie

My only concern with it (Ive also wanted to get eyeliner and lip fill) is what happens when later in life you face starts to drop? could you end up with your eyeliner on the top of your cheek? sounds gross I know but I always think about things like that :S

Hi Marie,
I had my eyebrows, upper and lower eyelids, lip line and a full lip color done about 10 years ago, costs me $1500 for everything. it hurts and scabbed for about a week, but I've no regret, it looks good and I wake up every morning looking beautiful, and no more eyeliner smudges! all I really  have to do especially when I'm in a hurry is just apply some bronzing powder, lip gloss and mascara and I'm done!

Ps. I also have to have a retouch done every 5 years as the color tends to fade a little. it is painful to have this done everytime yes, but I think it's worth it!

I was thinking about doing it, because I wouldnt have to take time for makeup every morning. But, I am only 22, and I wear my eyeliner quite thick on my top and bottom lids. Im not sure if Id want to wear it in the same style when Im 32!
