Even with the fly, it's a lovely photo.

It would be interesting if you could zoom in on the fly and enlarge it as much as you can
cheers

Stuff the fly.  What is it Sammy.  Looks great.

It does look great sheila-bloke47,   even with the fly.
Since Sam is probably busy, I am reasonably certain it is a lovely Canna Lily very similar to one called Cleopatra.
Cheers

Thanks rubyrose. Yes it's a Canna. They have been flowering profusely here. These Yellow ones & some Red ones. They have reached nearly 5' tall too

This is the best I could do with the fly

They must look gorgeous Sam, they usually give a very good display and they grow quite easily too.
I only have purple ones, growing in bug tubs, I must get some other colours because they do look lovely when in bloom.

Can you put in a photo showing the full plants?
cheers

Look who else I found while trimming my plants. I nearly snipped him thinking he was a branch!

He is 26cm (10") long!

For you rubyrose...... The variegated leaved ones give off the Red flower.

That's the biggest stick insect I have ever seen. You grow them big wherever you live.

Yes, he sure is big! Good job he moved when he did or my secateurs would have got him. I will have to be more careful when snipping in future.

PS, I like the name change
