Non-alcoholic punch recipe
Hi,
I want to make a non-alcoholic punch for Christmas day and its been years since I have made it so I need a good basic recipe with real fruit-not tinned.
So far the ingredients I have are-
3L tin Golden Circle tropical punch
1.5L lemonade
1.5L gingerale
Plus I will cut up fruit,
Have I left anything Out?
thanks

all your ingredients plus a bottle of sparkling maison is good in it too and if you use tin fruit salad it is good to freeze in a block as it takes longerr to melt so you always get a little fruit in each cup and ice....
mmmmmmmmmmm i love punch might have to make that christmas day as well.

Thanks for that, now that you mention it I did freeze some fruit and liquid in ice cubes to keep it cold and to use to top up as normal ice cubes just make it watery.

Hi tickles,
When making ice blocks we add one or two mint leaves. Adds flavour slowly when melting in the punch!
YUM!!
And we also add strawberries too.
And a pot of cold tea!!  Very very important!!
Happy punching!  LOL

We add about a litre of cold peppermint tea.  Just gives it a nice fresh taste.

Just one suggestion.

freeze in a suitable size container to fit your punch bowl or jug- a brew of tea and mint leaves or some fruit.
This keeps the punch beautifully cold without thawing as quickly as small icecubes.

Enjoy!

If the punch is mainly for adults you may wish to change the lemonade for soda water or mineral water this makes the punch less sweet (and less calories) and more refreshing which is especially good if it is really hot.

You can and add about 1/2 cup schweppes lime cordial (in the glass bottle) or use real lime juice it gives it a nice zing. Also adding1/2 teaspoon of angostura bitters will give it depth and tang. Both are non alcoholic and can be found in most bottle shops.

Punch making is lots of fun! It has always been apart of our family christmas tradition. I love experimenting with all sorts of flavours. All the best with it.

hi tickles
you left out the tea, it cuts the sweetness of the fruit and is more refeshing, two tea bags in a cup of boiling water for 5 minutes  should do the trick
and freeze dry ginger ale instead of water, the generic is fine so your punch does not go watery

Just so you know Angostura Bitters is actually alcoholic which few people realise! It is about 45% alcohol content!! It's just that it is usually used in such small amounts that people don't think so much about it. Hope this helps.
