need answers about a few ?'s about listings.
Hi

I have just realised I started listing items on this site a while ago and forgot about it until I got an email saying my account it overdue, so have decided to make a decent go of my vshop and actually list my items this time round.

Just wondering are novelty willy items allowed to be list on this site, items such as condom lollipops, willy soaps, straws, and balloons.  THey are obvioulsy just novelty items for hens nights etc not a sexual item.

Also I have a vshop and currently use a different auction template for each category such as 1 for hens nights a different one for baby showers, Do you think it is better to have just one custom template for all items.

I think that is all for now

any answers would be appreciated.

CHEERS

Hmmmm interesting question and I'm not sure of the answer but the help section has prohibited listings and says ...

Adult Related Items
Images or content which is adult or sexually related or inappropriate for people under 18 is not allowed to be listed on quicksales.

I've just searched the word condom and it's come up with 11 items and I see there is a new seller of Adult Related items. Not sure the items should be listed under Cosmetics & Body Care though!

As for different templates, it wouldn't worry me as a buyer so I'd say do whatever you like.

I think where you have them now would probably be the best place for them.  There use to be an Adult section, but they got rid of it, plenty of adult items still listed and I suppose unless someone complains  they will stay put.

I think the different templates are good - but as a buyer I don't really look at the template unless it's an annoying or hard to read  lol

As a seller I don't mind the different templates - I'm just too lazy to have different ones :)

I've been to a few hen's night recently, as my daughters & their friends marry. I'd prefer to buy novelties from a mainstream site like Quicksales, rather than a B&M shop. Cheers, TTLG.

I hardly think you can claim such items aren't sexually related or for adults.  I've reported thinly disguised 'adults only' products before and will continue to do so, though I don't go purposely looking for them in order to report them.  Those who run the site have the right to choose what won't be allowed and sellers should stick within the rules instead of trying to find a way around them.

How do you come across such items if your not looking for them ? Usally their headers are quite specific and it's not like if your looking for buttons your confronted with a listing of a sexy nighty

The policy for Adult items is clear enough , it covers certain things but not everything .

You would be surprised what crops up in a search where you least expect it!  Lots of people have googled quite innocent subjects and a heap of porn sites have come up and the same applies to searches here - it all depends on what keywords they put in their titles.

Nobody can complain about fakes or sellers who bend the paypal rules if they think the rest of the rules can be ignored, or can we pick and choose which rules can be broken?

Further to Mirribears comment above; At one point a few weeks ago, in the newly listed area on the front page, there was a totally see through mesh men's g string. It left nothing to the imagination at all! It was from one of the new commercial stores, so I didn't bother reporting it, as they had many similar items listed, all with graphic photos. I'd like to think I'm open minded, but the pics were certainly out there for all to see & a lot more graphic than novelty lollipops!

You put it in a nutshell, brer.

If they aren't items you can buy in normal shops then they most likely come under the 'adults only' category, and I would say some of the products listed would NOT be available in anything except 'adult only' shops.

The category for  lingerie contains the options to list quite some sexy wear including  PVC & Leatherwear   so perhaps this type of underwear , male or female is allowed considering the categories provide a place for it .

I was always under the impression that Adult items referred to products that only people over 18 can buy are no longer permitted here etc.

But in any case it's still up to qs to monitor it  .

I know that an internet search for something can bring up a multitute of non related sites , but I  was referring to qs listings.
