Need advice on a jewellery making class
Hi :)
I have been asked by the local P&C to have a jewellery making stall at our fete
we have chosen a few of the most popular things I make & I am doing up kits & will teach the kids how to make them.
I have NO idea how to price this......
If I sell a premade (by me) bracelet for $5 the how much do you think I should charge for the kit & supervising/assisting the child, I have been trying for 3 days to work out prices but Im stuck lol
The 4 main things we are doing would normally sell for $3.00, $4.50, $6 & $10

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

You would need to work out the materials cost and what you will charge for your time for the classes and then set a price from there.
We do the same at our school with beaded items and various other crafts but all the parents, grandparents, etc choose to donate their time as a fundraising donation and we just charge the actual cost of materials.

Is it one-on-one or a group class??

Are you putting kits together that the child can make without doing a class e.g. instructions included with kit that their parent can follow if they have questions "idiot proofed".

You could just sell the kits and be standing at your stall making the different kits and the kids can watch a continuous ongoing demonstration of the different items.

If the finished items sell for $3.00, $4.50, $6 & $10 then that is the price the kits should also sell for.  Your time to teach the kids is donated.  Lots of times kits would have enough beads etc to make more than one item.
