More Camera Help Please.
I have done so much searching and comparing on cameras I am now getting confused.  What I would like to know is what is the best 3 optical zoom or 5 optical zoom.
What is = AV cable = available as optional accessory.  What does it do and do I need it. 
What does Number of scenes modes mean.

3 zoom means you can get 3 times closer to your item.
5 zoom 5 times closer.
for taking pics of items 3 is plenty.
5 or higher is great say for taking pics of flowers or birds in your garden.
AV means you can connect your camera to your tv to view/show your pics.

At time I do take a lot of flower photos so would 3 zoom be OK for that as I am not professional.

 The higher optical zoom the better if you intend to use the camera for all general purposes, it means that if you are focusing on an object in the distance the higher zoom will bring the object closer to you the higher the zoom. There will be occasions when you will want an object to be as close and clear as possible. The higher the better

that was prob a 5 zoom?
I just zoom in until I think it looks good.
mine has a 10 zoom but I don't think I used it all for that.
it all depends on what you want it for and how much you can afford.
the zoom is like binoculars it brings things closer. so the higher the zoom number the closer it will bring the object.

Buy the camera with the 5 or higher zoom.
