Look where I'm going camping!!!
For the Summer Solstice.....

Should be spectacular watching the sun almost set over the Atlantic!!!

I'm soooo looking forward to it... now to go find some really good ghost stories to tell around the camp fire on this remote (allegedly) haunted beach.... *insert evil laugh here*

May, June and July.....  lol

got a while yet... but we always plan well ahead the spots we want to visit... expedition committee meetings to decide that usually involve maps spread all over the dining room table and copious amounts of whisky..

so far have organised and paid for the airfares, in the process of sorting passports, and arranged the house sitter/fish feeder...  lol  so now we get to do the fun stuff.... places to go, see and stay...  next stop... castles...  lol

Ahh I was just going to say it won't look like that for another 7 or 8 months.

Gotta love Scotland, only the Sth Island of NZ rivals it for beautiful scenery.

Paul...  I'm not mad enough to go this time of year...  I'm a Qlder remember... I don't handle cold very well at all.. lol

There was a suggestion, by someone    that it would be a good time to see England... seeing a large portion of the English population will be in South Africa... lol

Well you never can quite tell what the weather will be like in Scotland...  lol  Last time we went at that time of year it was freezing to bitter cold in the far northern islands, I got sunburnt at the Highland games in the central highlands and had quite hot weather and also quite chilly weather when we camped in an Indian tepee in southern scotland... so basically... who knows...  lol  About the only guarantee is that it won't be baltic. The west coast is warmed by warm desert air carried by the gulf stream.. so should be mild enough camping at that time of year anyway... just don't expect to see me swimming there... lol  mind you it's so remote that place (4 mile walk in from the nearest tiny village) that we probably won't see another soul for miles... so at least no one would see me turn blue if I went for a dip.
