Just wondering - If I close my quicksales store, will I lose my listings??
Hello

Hope you can help?!

I've unfortunately decided that it's time close my quicksales store. After being opened for several months, I found that any money I made in sales I just disappeared in fees, so have decided, sadly, that it's time to try something else. But as I'm not yet sure what that 'something' is yet, I don't want to lose my listings altogether, so was wondering whether there was a way that I could still keep the listings as they are in my 'unsold' box, while I work out the next step?

I'd hate to lose absolutely everything when I close my shop completely....

Thanks

Suzie

Hi Suzie , your items will still be for sale as per normal listings , or once you relist them from unsold

hi.
no, they still stay listed. I've thought about getting rid of my shop, but I'm averaging 385% profit per month. so I'll keep it at this stage

How many items do you normal have listed?  If under 100, it would be difficult to keep above the fees. Shop fees are just $5pm and the only other fees are FVF's which are not too expensive either. There are no other fees unless you choose highlighted or category specials etc.  My suggestion would be to list more items and see how you go but otherwise, as mentioned, without a shop your listings will (once relisted) be visible just like any other listing.  Do non shop owners have to pay relist fees??  I'm not sure on that one.
Ohhh just a thought... when did you pay your last $5pm fee?  If you've only just paid it, then you've already paid for a month in advance. Just wait until it's almost due again, then cancel the shop.

Non-shop owners do not pay relisting fees, nara.

About the only advantages of a store I can think of are custom categories and the ability to have a sale.

The standard categories are fine for my items, and I am disinclined to reduce my prices.

I have 550+ items listed, with new items listed every day, and my sellthrough is about 0.2%. I don't spend $$ here unless I make a sale.

If Carsales was fair dinkum and actually promoted the sub-site, my attitude might be different. But they don't, so it isn't.
