Tanja,
Where does one begin, there is so much to learn nobody who makes jewellery like myself can give you a rundown over the net, the best thing for you to do is find your nearest Bead Shop that gives lessons and go there, even to learn the basics.
OR ... search the net for tutorials on jewellery making, some have a step by step Video on 'how to'.

Good luck, it does become addictive

Once you start, it never stops!! LOL
Eventually, you will need a huge cupboard and lots of little boxes.

Hi,
the best thing to use to store your beads in are the plastic tray boxes you can buy at most $2 stores. They open to reveal approx 18 small areas perfect for beads. I agree, you need to drop in to your nearest bead shop and "pick their brains" they will be more than happy to help and you will then buy from them. Once you know what you are doing you can go crazy buying beads and stuff from oztion sellers.

I know the feeling about not being to stop once you start! lol, I originally started as a little hobby, bought a few bead bags here n there, but now it's such an addiction that I have several large boxes just overflowing with jewelery I made myself and more boxes of supplies. Not to mention I have THREE more Huge boxes of beads on its way next week! You'll find your niche tanja2456, whether it be glass, crystal, plastic or whatever you'll find best to work with. Ihave no doubt you'll love it though!
Spotlight has some great equipment to start off with.
