It's so hard to get decent clothing ! What's with this years fashion ?
I'm so over looking for specific things in shops , I've exhausted looking online and done a Wanted but this years style of clothing in B&M shops for the more mature of us is hopeless !

All I want is dress shorts in black and grey . Not that I have a lot of choice of shops here but the major stores either have thin weird stuff from China and even mrsmillers has nothing !

I'm doomed

G'day 'issabella',
I can understand your frustration mate.
I'm not one for dressing up.....but have had to buy a few things for my wardrobe for this season as all my other stuff is well used and had to go.

Well......what an exercise it was to buy a couple of dress shorts/pants...... and I had been told by a friend that the colour 'Red' was in this Spring/Summer....so went looking to buy a couple of red shirts as well.

Living in rural NSW and there not being much of a choice in shops to buy from.....I went into the biggest one ....'Target' and gawd ...what an experience.....everything comes from China.  They must all be soooo small over there...... my normal size is a 12/14.....well mate I could not fit into them.......how embarrassing.....I was so unhappy about the whole experience that I left the shop and went to 'Vinnies' across the road and guess what... I found a lovely pair of black pants with the tag still on them....and made in Australia.....for $2....

The red shirts I ended up buying from a lovely seller here on Quicksales for next to nothing and they are gorgeous....(thanks 'minty').

So mate....if all else fails and there is nothing online that takes your fancy......don't dispair....there is always the OP shop.

Cheers...Lily

I have found this to be typical of Target shirts in the last couple of years. I am notmally a size 14, but usually have to buy size 16 there, if not an 18. And as for their T-shirts!!

I actually really like this year fashion - so pretty & feminine. But i guess living in rural area does limit ur choice. Sizing is funny as well. I actuallt think target stuff is quite good for mature shopper - i think they cater for older women - I found their sizing is quite geenrous as well.  Rockman is another option.

My goodness i know.  I spent all of last week trawling the shops after almost a year of only shopping online and guess what the same old garb was still in there not selling.  I couldn't believe it.  Anything sensible like a pair of shorts or blazer was in some way out mustard or pastel colour in flimsy lightweight material.
