It makes sense
For some this is common sense, for others not so. Start your make up routine with your foundation. In summer use a light cover such as mineral make up as it keeps your skin feeling great and looking natural. It doesn't clog pores.

After applying foundation only then you can apply concealer.

Not to me.

I have never used foundation, always had good clear skin no blemishes have a good complextion,(spotty free teen and adult years)  so dont see the need to put any foundation on it.

my secret lots of water and good genes!

Oh I dunno...I would start with a clean moisturised face, maybe something with a sunscreen in it...
The best thing you can do in summer to keep your skin nice...Is to protect it, n drink lots of water.

Morning bags....yes, cleansed, moisturised and plenty of water....sun protection is vital for me, something I never worried about when out in the sun with the kids and their sports.

Same skin...My skin hates the sun, reacts badly even with sun screen, i break out in a hive like rash.....stupid genes.
Never had acne so was lucky there, and this reaction to the sun thing didn't develop til later in life(was about 38 i guess when it started)....
Am naturally fair anyways so even as a teen i learned no matter how much i wanted to be tanned, i was only ever gonna burn n peel, so resigned myself to being white lol.

Yet my children have this gorgeous olive skin....well so do 2 of my sisters...Me & my youngest sister somehow got someones white genes lol...wasn't My Dad or Mum they are both darker skinned.

There is tonnes of foundation out there. Congrats to those that don't use it due to good genes and plenty of water. Plenty of water won't just work though. During Summer you are affected by UVA and UVB rays. For this reason you need to apply sunscreen and use a foundation with SPF. This limits radicals or fine lines from the sun.

Wow is it hot today, I am stuck inside with the a/c and watching tennis. Just too hot even for a tan !!

genetics plays only 10-20% in how your skin will look and age. Lifestyle/sun exposure is the main factor in seeing how well your skin will look. Olive skin is no different to fair skin, nor does it necessarily look "better" both need sunscreen, and not just whats in your moisturizer. You need to apply sunscreen to a clean dry skin, apply moisturizer where needed. If you need a color corrector, apply this, then honestly I dont care what some so called "experts" say. I apply concealer to eye area, around nose. Then apply liquid foundation. Then apply some compact powder (just for convienence as I'm trying to use it up) Mineral makeup looks TERRIBLE when you apply any liquids over it.
