Is there a way to change a US version game to fit our Aust version?
Hi, My son recently bought on line a Nintendo 64 Mario party 3 game cartridge for his brother as a Christmas gift and when he got it a few days ago he realised it doesn't fit our console ( he bought it from USA not knowing their's was a different version that wouldn't fit our Nintendo 64 as there was no indication in the ad and he didn't know).  Is there anything we can do as he spent quite a bit of money on it? We have another game which we have a double of and we were wondering is it possible to open the cartridge and place the parts of the Mario game he bought inside our compatible cartridge or would this ruin the games....and if its Ok to do that do you know who does this sort of repair or is it easy to do yourself? Our only other option is to try to resell it to someone who wants the US version. Any expert help or advice would be great. Thanks

Don't think there is for the 64 - the Game Cube had a disc that you could put in first and that converted it - but pretty sure the 64 - doesn't have anything like that.  But someone else might know - hopefully my son (gamesphere) might see this  :)

Thanks Chloecat although I will keep hoping for now that it can be done some way.

That looks more like the cartridge that you use to play game boy games on the 64 with.  But it could be what you're after - they don't give much detail - but at only us$10 it'smight be worth trying.
