Is there a virus/bug/flu going around ?
I rarely get ill , last time I had a cold I got it while overseas more then 2 years ago but today I feel like I have been hit by a bus.

Sore legs , sore middle around ribs , painful neck , slight headache and sore throat.

arggggg and I had planned to do listings the whole day , now I'm heading back to bed.

Is it going round ? Any sympathies ?

Yep theres a real whopper going around. I've been sick for over a week. The same as you I rarely ever get sick and this one knocked the socks off of me when it began.

Drink plenty of fluids and eat lots of garlic in your meals....colds and flu bugs hate garlic.

Hope you feel better soon....there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Both my daughter and I have the flu. Caught it last week whilst in syd.  Teach me for going to syd on crappy weather weekend. Might head bush next time to fresh air where at least I wont get sick.

Bugga, I'm flying in a few hours to Melbourne for work...A plane is the best environment for bugs to spread.
Just need one person with something and bet ya life everyone has something in a few days.  yuck!

Keep my fingers crossed...heading to the horseradish & garlic tablets now........LOL!

Probably the same bus that hit me!!!! LOL :) :) :)

That was over two weeks ago.
changeable temps in Melb did not help either.  Still have a cough and the need to clear my throat before speaking.  Drink lots of water - hot honey & lemon drinks did wonders.  Include garlic in your meals if you like garlic.  I did not feel like eating at all but made myself eat fruit & veges.  I spent a lot of time lying down resting / sleeping.

Just take it easy for a few days.

sounds to me that you have influenza...not just a common cold....water and bed rest is really the only thing you need to do to get over it :)

I have been feeling yuck for last 4 days.

Started out just sneezing all of Thursday.  Sore throat/ear aches/headaches/runny nose all day Friday.  Saturday I slept for 12 hours straight but was like the walking dead when I dragged myself out of bed at 1.30pm.  Today no concentration, coughing, sneezing, nose is so sore from blowing it every 15 minutes.

My back and ribs are really sore from all the sneezing, coughing and blowing nose.

Thought it was just sinus but I did have the old aches and pains for a couple of days before Thursday.

Im so glad I wasn't working this weekend but I was planning to get some listings done - best laid plans of mice and men ....

Well I'm up , can't lie down to sleep anymore , my back hurts and no matter how deep I breathe I feel like I'm not getting any oxygen , the cat and dog are up with me and annoying me for food , lol they must be wondering why 'mum' is up so early .

Hubbie had these symptoms last week but they didn't develop into anything more , he was lucky to have had the flu injection , I'm wondering if that's what I have , probably caught his germs .

He did say it was payback for not giving him more sympathy , cheeky bugger.

Hope your flight goes ok bubbles, just eat lots of garlic and maybe you'll get to sit on you own

Yup,we had the 'plague' go right through our school-there was a 3 day peak where 7 of our 14 teachers were off sick with it!(and classes were little more than half full as well).

Yes, this virus is a shocker.
Our kids have all had it, but our 7yr-old has suffered so much worse than the others did. It has been 3 weeks and she is only just now getting better after antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication. I have never seen her so sick - no energy, stomach and leg cramps, no appetite (and she is only a little bit of a kid.. very worrying when she wouldnt eat for over 2 weeks), sore throat, horrible cough, sore eyes, headaches..
The school had 120 kids away on one day - only 10 kids in our daughters class at one stage.
I have got it now and feel like c**p - sure does take everything out of you, doesnt it?? Not pleasant at all
Hope you get better soon!! Take care.
