More like a size 6-7 Australian, when I lived in America I found most childrens clothes a size or 2 smaller than ours

I'm pretty sure Kiwi with Kids sizes, the US and AUS are the same.
I have  purchased clothes for my kids say for e.g. 2T which is same as a size 2 here

Just found a sizing chart on google, and it looks like the US is one size smaller than our sizing. So an 8 in US would be a 7 here. Learn something every day ha.
I have purchased loads of times from US for my 4 girls and always purchased with the idea they were the same with sizing there as here, i have honestly never noticed a difference and never found them to be on the smaller side, but anyways, thats what it said. ( hello to you and the family !)

I always go one bigger if I'm buying anything from the US for my daughter. I find they come up very small (like French clothes), but then my girl is tall for her age too. :)
