How to change a store name
Hi everyone.
Can anyon help with some advice on how to change my store name. I have searched through the help section but all I can find is if I change user name I have to keep the first 3 letters of my user name I wanted to change that too as heading in a different direction.
First time I've been to this forum and quite helpful especially in letting us know that sales on here aren't that good. I just refuse to go  back to Ebay have had a couple of unfortunate things with them and they can seem at times to be very unfair to sellers even if they make a fortune from you. I miss my sales on there but not the frustrations.
Any help appreciated
Thanks Pam

 Hello Pam,

I had to ask Admin to change mine.

Good Luck with your sales.

When you opened your vShop... there was some text telling you to choose the name carefully as it can't be changed

In saying that, though... why don't you
Contact quicksales and ask them... they have been known to change vShop names in the past... and you never know your luck

Hi Pam.
There is other criteria to go by with a name change.  If in doubt, just ask Admin anyway.  I'm sure there have been changes that were allowed.  You can also ask Admin to make your forum id blue.  Just give Admin a few days to respond though as it is still holidays even for them.  I did find the following info (which you may have already read).... Stick with it tho, Lee

Q. Can I change my User ID?
A. It depends on when you registered and the volume of your account activity.
- If your account activity has exceeded more than 5,000 listings including sold, unsold, selling etc, the system will reject a username change.
- If your activity does not exceed this limit and you registered after the 01/01/07, we can change your User ID. Please contact us with your preferred User IDs in order of preference.
- If your activity does not exceed this limit and you registered prior to 01/01/07, we can change your username if you retain the first 3 characters of your User ID (i.e. change nicky456 to nicsplace).
- If you're okay with retaining the first 3 characters please contact us with your preferred User IDs in order of preference.

hi Pam,
admin will magically change the name, they did mine, they may not do it till Wednesday if they are on public hols till then.

regards selling on ebay, yes, it is a risky business, if you don't sell the item/s fees are very high!  I prefer the steady, slow, stress-free selling here.

good luck with your new direction!

Yep
I managed it after a little confusion. All my listings vanished and I couldn't log in to read the message from Quicksales which would have told me what to do. So I tried logging in with the user name I had asked for and voilla all good.
Thanks everyone. Got both user and store name changed in one go.
Happy selling all. Or at least we'll all hope to sell a few LOL
Bye for now
Pam

I want a name change to match my new Vshop to my user ID, but this means I have to retain the first 3 letters. Looks like a new business account I might have to do with '0' feedback

Thought this one might have more buyer confidence with the higher feedback
