happened to my daughters several times. Try plugging into someone elses computer and restoring on theirs, it worked for my daughters. then once its restored back to factory settings, put back into yours and re sync to restore back ups.

Just a reminder to other users, dont forget to charge from comp not just mains recharger or you will find yourself with outdated back ups.

Hi there,

Had this happen to me a few times, I uninstalled and reinstalled, authorised pc and didnt work...so I left my phone on charging for 2 days then I plugged it in and it worked...this is after I had dropped it for the 5th time...

Good luck...

Well I havent dropped it 5 times :-) - but feel like throwing it at times - I rang Telstra, after 1/2 of waiting on my iphone, got fed up and hung up - I do have another comp I use when this one decides to have a hissy fit (as they do) might plug that in tomorrow , load itunes onto it and see what happens - but there has to be an easier way of doing it - it worked initialls when I first bought the phone, now it wont for some reason.

Got me beat :(
Thanks guys

You can ring the Telstra Tech help line on 132999. Or what I think is a better idea.. is go to your local Telstra store and the staff in there will have a look at it. cheers marie

It's the apple driver for the USB side of things i found a link about it you need to re install the Apple USB driver as it defaults to a  camera .http://askabouttech.com/cant-see-iphone-in-itunes/.

Thanks bratsnthings, its good to have it fixed - one thing I have found about an iphone though is, there is not a manual which comes with it, and if you care to download one, its 244 pages!!!!!!!!! still, I think I will keep taking it back to the Telstra shop and give them headaches rather than me :-)
Hope you have a great weekend Marie

Thank you fubar09, Ill go check it out, pity they dont tell you these things when you buy an iphone which is a shame, the damn things cost enough :-) - still its done now so there is no point carrying on about it :-)

Warm regards
Maggie
