HI There. does it do this straight away or after about 2-3 hours?
the reason I ask is my PVR STB that records onto a USB stick does that after about 2-3 hours.
I haven't had chance yet to read the instructions to find out how to correct that problem. my way around it is to turn off PVR after about 2 hours and start it again.

hi rich, you're alway here when i need help !!!

with my hdmi cable the recorder switches off when i turn off the tv. have to use the av cord to be able to record overnight with tv off. i would like to use the hdmi cord. there must be a different setting, but can't work it out from manual. hdmi connect etc.....

thanks in advance

edit: don't start me on the usb stick haven't worked that out either, it must be old age, lol. want to record from led tv to usb stick, but i will get there, well one day.

Your Welcome.
PMSL @ USB.
sorry I can't help more that is the extent of my knowledge. Is this the one that was repaired?
or I'm I getting you mixed up with someone else who had PVR problems?.

Sorry but this might sound like a stupid question

Does your Antenna cable run from the wall to the back of your TV or does it run into the back of your PVR

If its running to the back of your TV then that could be causing your problem ... when you switch TV off it kills the signal (to the HDMI). ...the old type cables work in a different way to HDMI

You could try a Antenna splitter from the wall socket and run 2 cables ... one to the back of the TV and one to the back of the PVR....that wat both will always get a signal.

Just a thought...hope it helps

If Robs solution doesn't solve the problem, might be best taking it back to the shop and explain this to them.
I thought it was you. not have much luck with it. are you?.
