Has anyone tried those genie type bras ?
Has anyone tried the genie or ahh bra ? are they any good ? They seem such a comfy option but if your large busted I wonder if they fit allright.

It's hard to buy something like that without trying it on but I'm so tempted to toss the underwire funbag holders

Easy to make, but in my expert opinion au naturale looks best, smaller the better, more than a mouthful is a waste.
cheers

They are not recommended for anything over a D cup. There is just not enough support in them. A friend bought the Ahh bras and she says she has to wear 2 pairs at once to feel comfortable. They are made from a very lightweight material.

I have them and I am not a thin girl and I love them, would never go back to the other type now. Put these on over my head normally but after a shower I step into it as it is hard to get on over the head when the body is moist. So I love them, wash and wear them no problems.
I have pretty big boobs too (16D) and have no problems what so ever with them. Much more support then others and no flamin wires and things digging in me.
I say go for it and if you happen to not like them for whatever reason sell them to a friend who wants to try them out. Or, go in with 2 others the same size and get one pair each to try.

The genie bra is better than the ahh bra, thicker material and has pad inserts you can take out if you choose.
The ahhh bra is very thin material and has no support, I will not be buying those againl.

Size is also an issue, they say buy your shirt size, I am 12 and bought medium, too tight and squashy  for me, I went up a size to L with genie which fit better.

If you do a google search for ahh bra review, you will find majority are very disapppointed with their ahh bra's.

It's been on my mind to get some but today I noticed the genie bras advertised elsewhere with lots of completed sales so pondered on which would be better . I might take the plunge ( cough) and get 1 to try

Hi Isabella; I bought the Genie Bra set for my elderly Mum. She tried them on & complained the fillet bits were in the wrong place (sat too high & hurt nipples) & very uncomfortable & hard to remove. For her age she has good breasts, no sag.  When pads were removed there was no support at all! 16C cup bra size. She has a pacemaker fitted & just trying the bras on hurt her where  the appliance is fitted on upper left chest just under the skin. Despite the supposed comfort straps.

I tried one on (I'm a slightly smaller size than the L that was purchased & I too found them uncomfortable & unsupportive, This may be because I have an E bust).

Trying to return the items for refund was a drama! 3 interstate phone calls to obtain a "you can return for refund" request & ID number. ( offshore call centre, hard to understand poor English) Registered post return at my expense. It took 5 weeks to have the price without original postage credited back to my credit card.

It was worth the money lost to prove to my Mum that you can't trust what you see on the infomercials on TV! Cheers, TTLG.

Thanks TTLG , I'm beginning to think there's a market out there for something like this but they haven't quite got it right .

I've seen the sports type singlets in Kmart but they don't fit the larger bust properly , and I purchased a sports bra once thinking the support would be good but I'm still trying to figure out how to get into it . No clips and you cant get it up over your head without choking yourself

Hi again Issabella; That's why I tried the things on prior to returning. Absolutely no support for a big bust on a smaller framed woman! I get where my Mum was coming from, as those darned pads are annoying! In a little pocket that makes them hard to remove, & uncomfortable flappy bits underbust when they're not there. Genie bras are a dud for sure for anyone of B cup & above breast size in their L measurement garments!

They are impossible for anyone who has trouble lifting their arms up to get them over their heads. Getting them off is even worse...For me, it was an excercise in gymnastics....

Maybe if they are from China they might be knock-offs , having had a good search for them some people seem to be able to sell them very cheaply .

I Bought what I think is a product after this style from a seller on here. 4 in a pk. they are nice and comfy but I would not recommend them for wear under something like a T shirt.
it is shaped for the breasts it does pull over the head which could be difficult for elderly ppl or those with disabilities.
I would normal be a medium but I ordered L. glad I did I might of had a struggle with M. great for around the house or under another bra in winter months or for those who like to sleep in a bra.( I know some women who did). maybe other brands may be better then the ones I received.?.. very soft. comfy.
